Monster Discussion / Re: All Things Slo Mo

Thanks for that link Mandy. Nothing near me according to that.
I was just in my local Wal-Mart two days ago. But  I didn't have time to go look. When I did look three weeks ago, no Mo.

Actually on my last check of the MH section, that half of the isle was just being restocked. So slim pickings indeed.

I thought Jinafire was a boy at first, aha. It was quite the fail.

I did the same thing. Yeah she's not a boy. :P

Last Summer I stumbled across a sig Operetta in Wal-mart. Now I know how costly the sig dolls are, being brand new to MH. But back then I had no clue and figured she'd be around when I was finally interested.  :yikes:

Now I want her or a sig of Ghoulia, yeah no dice. And I have known about MH from the jump. But noo. Stupid normie for the fail.

RM Ghoulia. I was shopping at Walgreens and decided to search through their MH dolls. She was waaaay in the back and I almost missed her. Her character has become my favorite.

FCA is apparently available on iTunes for $14.99 right now

Yep it is up on iTunes for $19.99 (United States dollars). With apparently two or three animated shorts listed under iTunes extras. That are included when you buy it.

Am sadly short on cash or I'd be seriously tempted.

My friend is studying native American culture.. I've learned a lot just from her already! :D

I can't wait to see who ends up being your first doll! Careful though! They're a lot like potato chips :)

Welcome to the Arena! I recognize your other screen name from the other Arena! (I'm Jinxxy over there too)

Glad to have you here too! :D

Hi Jinxxy. I recognize your name from the Arena.

Sooo I was digging around at my local Wally-World (aka Wal-Mart) and spotted Honey Swamp plus FCA Operetta. Who to choose....The Phantom Of The Opera is one of my favorite stories, musicals. And I like that Operetta has a rock-a-billy attitude.

Have been reading up on all the various characters and contemplating who will be my first MH doll. Skelita is still at the #1 spot. Though I've heard she's tricky to find in person.

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome.

Lovely ink everyone. My first piece is on my left shoulder. Black ink of a wolf howling with the word hope written in Cherokee (am half Cherokee). Had the artwork designed for me by Wild Spirit Wolf over on Deviant Art. And the inking was done in West Hollywood,CA by Dan Smith.

Can't say enough good things about both people because seriously amazing work. When I was having it done I passed out. Not from the pain (yes it does hurt), it was from the stress. Had bad goings on in my life and was just over whelmed. Felt great once I woke up and the staff was very friendly. That day was a turning point for me, in so many ways.

Now almost three years on I'm working on getting my second piece, on my right shoulder. Plus contemplating a piece for my upper back. But that one is years away. Need to plan it out and have the time to get it inked. Because it will need to be done over several sessions.

Thanks for the warm welcomes. If anyone here also posts on the MLP Arena I'm Sky_Rocket_Sammie over there.
What started out as "what's MH"? about three weeks ago, turned into "I may want to start collecting". Yeah I've been bitten by the MH bug. :)

Thanks for letting me join. I went with the list format cause it's easier to type out. On my iPad mini.

Personal:

How old are you? 37

Where do you live? State, Country? Planet? California, Earth.

Do you work or attend school? Profession or major? Am currently attending two schools. One is a trade school. My majors are cultural anthropology and Native American studies.

Who are the important people in your life? My friends who are my family.

Dolls: No MH yet.

How long have you been collecting? No dolls yet but that will change shortly.

What made you want to collect Monster High dolls? The mix of classic horror and or legendary creatures kids. And the creativity put forth in the line up. Both where unexpected surprises when I started researching MH.

Tell us about your collection! I want to focus on those characters that I find interesting. Right now that's Skelita and Honey Swamp.

Thanks for letting me join.
