Some customizers have found flocking at hobby stores, and at least one of the doll restorers carries it. Haven't tried it myself yet, but it sounds fun. :)

Love your drawing style!
I think the biggest problem is going to be finding MH-sized dainties for them to wear-unless you're really good at sewing tiny lingerie, that's going to be your pain. :\
Clawdeen would have the advantage of already having canid ears, though her face may not be as angular as you want. And if you want your ghost to be clear or partially so, that leaves you with Spectra. Or are you planning a FBR for her?

Catty seems a little.... drunk in this photo. I'd caption it "Go Home, Catty"

Yet another celebrity with a wardrobe malfunction.  *cough*nip slip*cough*

At least fur provides, ahem, a little extra cover....

Saw Atamaii's YouTube video from Tokyo Toy Fair last night. Yup, must have this one.( if you haven't seen it yet.)

Hurray for finding the Sisters pack! They're a great way to break your dolly fast.

One would think...Mattel would be terminally foolish to put this much effort into teasing a new line and then delay it.

Oooh, colorscapesart! What a lovely pair.

aikiaelf- I'm the last person to ask about sewing advice  :P but wanted to say your idea sounds wonderful!
And yay for the Abney Park shout-out, Airship Pirate is one of the songs I play when my energy needs a boost.

Posted on FB at The Doll Genie:

We just received notification from Mattel the the EVER AFTER HIGH Dolls will not be available in the United States for the 2013 year. It's a big disappointment for lots of little collectors, but, as soon as more information becomes available, we'll keep you updated.

O_o?? Is this for real? What do you suppose happened, if so?

Love her face!

And yes, always kittehs love a new box to play with. (Not to mention tiny doll accessories, if you don't get them out of reach quickly enough)
What a beautiful little family you have!

Monster Discussion / Re: Dance Class 5 Pack
« on: June 14, 2013, 06:38:10 PM »
The only dance class doll I have so far is Howleen, so this would actually be a good set if I can make room.
(this set would be a killer Christmas present for my niece, too)

Trying to talk myself into selling SDCC Frankie and SDCC Ghoulia. I adore them, and would never be able to replace them, all know the rest of that sentence. :\

I haven't sold any MH dolls yet. A few of my vintage Barbies have gone that path (sad at the time, but c'est la vie).

Eek. Thanks for the warning!

Played 1st and 2nd edition D&D, but just didn't feel any love for 3rd. Traveller, Stalking the Night Fantastic, Teenagers from Outer Space...several lesser-known systems that we played for a little while.
Then an acquaintance started a West End Games d6 Star Wars campaign, and that one went on for right at 10 years. Kind of miss it still....

I'd be super careful if I were you, if you plan on dying all that hair instead of rerooting.  The hair won't take dye all too well due to being saran, but the head can and will take dye.

^This. The Barbie that I painstakingly gave green hair with a Design marker, many years ago, ended up with a greenish halo anywhere hair touched vinyl. So keep that long-term thought in mind.

Monster Discussion / Re: Dissecting the MH Characters...
« on: June 12, 2013, 06:54:51 PM »
Thank goodness, I was afraid I was the only one thinking about these wonky things....

'Zombie' and 'were' are apparently species/races, not supernatural conditions. Otherwise, as pointed out above, zombies would definitely not be capable of functioning in society-even monster society-for very long. Slow-moving beings trying to feed on races stronger and faster than they were would see zombies wiped out pretty quickly. Never mind the effects of their condition and entropy in general. Weres likewise don't seem to have the human/werecreature dichotomy. We don't see Clawdeen, Clawd or Howleen shifting between human, animal and humanoid forms. The twins, Toralei and Catrine are likewise never anything but catgirls.

For that matter, they could put a really beefy (snerk!) large guy on a Ken body, since MH is smaller than 1:6 scale but not ridiculously so.

Introductions! / Greetings and salutations!

:peeks in:

Hi, all! Good to see a lot of familiar names, and some new folks as well. I'll mainly just be perching on a cloud and listening for right now, but hope to get some monster pics going soon!

(p.s.- Mods, what's the MHA position on monster hybrids? Persis and Zori, my Clawdeen/Fashionista girls, would really like to know. :)
