I Fashion Iris Clops. I've been after her since way back when but I wasn't gonna pay £30. She was on sale reduced to £20 and I had a £5 coupon so I ended up with a pretty sweet deal. She is just so awesome in her eyeball outfit and I love all the painted details on her earrings, necklace and shoes, she is just a terrific gal and I love her even though I also have her SDCC sig.

Monster HighVerified account @MonsterHigh 5h5 hours ago More We will have a small presence at #SDCC2017. ☺️ This year, @Mattel is focusing on our freaky-fab partner brands like Marvel & Star Wars. 🎉
Jeesh, since when have Mattel been making Star Wars toys (apart from die cast vehicles?), come to think of it when have they been making Marvel toys? I thought Hasbro made them. Do they even know which properties they own?

Monsterhighdolls.com has pictures of all three of them and their rubber skirts are hideous. But it looks like their plastic tops are removable at least.

I picked up Draculaura, Frankie and Clawdeen Frightfully Tall Ghouls for £20 each. It took a it of hunting around but managed to get all three with good face ups and decent eyes. They look great with their vinyl pets which I snagged for £1 each

They're exactly the same doll, i think she was initially released as a single pack for the European market. I'm in the UK and we got both releases and both are still relatively available so I wouldn't say she's particularly rare or anything.

Every one of those outfits looks quite nice to me. And I'm more than happy to see some painted boots, even if they are recasts of Ghoulias.

Is it me, or did Cleo get G2 Venus syndrome?
It sure looks like it to me. Esp on those elbow and wrist joints

The people at this other forum I go to iare so convinced MH will be finished by the end of the year if not sooner.
Yeah, I know the Forum you're referring to and there is too much negativity posted there. So much so that a lot of people no longer post on there. There is a core of about 4 regular posters whom constantly bicker and moan, that's all they do and it drives me nuts ( and others presumably). I too have faith that the line will be here for quite a while yet. Mattel aren't just gonna give up on it, it's their second largest doll line after all. Some stores like Amazon, TRU, Argos (UK) still seem happy to get their own exclusives, just look at the awesome new sports line exclusives at TRU (arriving in the UK too very soon!), so they all seem still have faith in the line. But yeah, we'll just have to wait and see I suppose. At the end of the day it's all down to sales of the product.

I think Ameyal is referring to Gilda, who is one of my top ten favourite ghouls.

Art Class Robecca Steam. I had never seen her on shelf and I didn't expect her to be so pretty.
She's one of my fav Beccas and I love that she has welding gear and her art project is a little tin man thingy.

I saw the minis in Wilcos around Christmas but they sold really quickly and I've not seen anymore there for a while. I'm not sure if they were sold elsewhere as I don't collect them. I'm not a fan of blind bags, to me it's an easy way for manufacturers to get some easy money as you may not know what fig your getting. I like to know what I'm getting when I hand over my money.

Well I made a promise to myself to only get new characters once the reboot came in and I've mostly stuck to that, mostly. So far I have gotten Silvi, Dayna and Moanica all of which I really like, plus the sig Lala, Frankie and Ari. Hopefully we'll get the second sig wave over here in the UK at some point. Plus i'll be getting the Gaga doll when she's released over here at the end of Feb. Plus I wouldn't mind the sports Venus and Clawd 2 pack ( even though I said only sigs lol) if they ever show up here, which they should if they are TRU exclusives. As far as the future of MH goes, well if they keep making'em with full articulation without moulded on tops then I'll carry on buying'em. I'm really looking forward to Treesa and i'll prob get the 3 little ghouls to go with her as Treesa's "playset" has three little doll stands attached to it. But that was all i was interested in after seeing TF apart from Dracula, but his static arms are bugging me. I think we'll be seeing more of what MH has to offer at SDCC, hopefully some little wolf boys will be on their way.

Are most of the kitchen play-set parts reused? That cooker looks like they modified the kiln from the art class play set, although I'm not sure if the other bits are recycled.

Just want to confirm: those are the Bee CAM shades on Toralei, right?
Yep, they sure are.

Yay for the close up pics of Treesa, who I am falling in love with. Nice to see her different profiles in those pics plus she has carved details on her head, love it and a definite must buy for me. Might get some of those little garden ghouls too, wish they were better articulated though, ah well.

I finally managed to get the SeaMonster and Vampire cams for a very good price, can't wait for them to arrive. And boy have the cams gone up in price lately on the secondary market.

I don't understand why people keep mentioning that this issue indicates a new body is on the way.
IMHO it's quite clear that the issue is down to the joints and not with the body itself. It is simply a manufacturing error that Mattel is trying to fob off onto us. All plastics shrink during the manufacturing process (some more than others) but somehow the factory appears to have used a different type of plastic for the joints and this plastic hasn't shrunk enough thus leaving the pegs (and knee /elbow discs) slightly larger than they should be, but the factory still went ahead and assembled the dolls anyway. Mattel must have been aware that the joints are too tight due to the body assembly diagram on the packaging being removed. Why would mattel still put out substandard bodies? Quite simply Mattel would have lost a lot of money if the were to have simply scrapped the production run and start all over again. Why does it affect all reboot Venus's?, I think that the factory must have produced the bodies for all three versions in one production run, probably in the region of 100,000 plus units (the more they produce in one run the cheaper it is per unit), then they just plop on the appropriate head.
I hope i've explained it in a way that people can understand, although that doesn't resolve the fact that Mattel have put out dolls with faulty joints hoping that we wouldn't notice. After all these are disposable toys made for kids...right? Right?

Lauren - it looks like those stands you get have little tabs in front, like to hold a display sign or something. Is that true?
Thanks! Lisa
Yep, there are two little tabs at the front and two at the rear. You can use them to fit name cards or card backdrops.
