Monster Discussion / Re: New Movie Pack? (G1 Movies)
« on: July 27, 2017, 09:18:49 AM »
Those movies don't just feature Cleo I wonder why they would make it seem like they do.  I honestly bought all the G1 movies when they came out but if someone didn't this would be great for them.

It's a simple stab at Universal trying to cash in on their new "reboot" Mummy film as it features a female mummy. Honestly I think the title 'the mummy adventures' is quite misleading.

I went back to TRU again, for the third time this week (got a love that BOGOF offer ). So today I snagged both Fierce Rockers box sets, got all five rockers for £35 making them £7 each, bargain. I don't think any on-line reviews mention it but Catty even has as separate top on under her cat suit, I'm just loving all the details that these dolls have.

I finally got the Winning Werewolves and Love's Not Dead 2 packs today in TRU buy one get one free offer, well chuffed. Clawd is awesome and hunky and I'm loving the retro prom look of Slo-mo and  Ghoulia.

Howleen looks really cute apart from the lack of articulation of course. Nice to see her sig pet and his carrier is lovely.

In the UK TRU has a buy one get one free offer. Sooo, I had to take advantage and got electrified Lala, Ari, Twyla and Clawdeen. So that's my 'field collection complete, and all for half price woohoo.

I like the animation style, plus more webisodes so that's a great big yay from me

Oh WOW, that's something no-one predicted. Bet she looks great.
Well Mattel really have been spoiling us with some good reveals, SDCC is even better than his years Toyfair.

, which of course then had me getting more 'Fied dolls and last week I was lucky enough to find the 2 ASDA exclusive Venus and Cleo at half price at £7.50!

....Trip to Asda added to my to do list when I go home in a week or two. ;)

You may be in luck as I only got mine last weekend. They had three Venus and one Cleo that someone had hidden behind some Barbies. I wasn't expecting to find them to be honest, but something told me to pay Asda a visit, it must have been fate lol.

Monster Discussion / Re: Monster High Ballet Line
« on: July 20, 2017, 02:46:19 PM »
She's alright I suppose but a pass for me, I don't need a ballet line. Now if she was a continuation of the Zombie Shake line i'd be screaming with excitement. But as I said, this line isn't for me. In fact I find it a bit disconcerting if we're gonna have a line of dolls and a movie about ballet dancing monsters

I hope that we get it too, Cleo looks great, and not too dissimilar to Elizabeth Taylor in Cleopatra.

So...if Ghoulia is now canon, where has she been hiding? I hope she does turn up in a future movie.
I wonder how they will ultimately (have to) introduce Spectra? I think we all know that it's gonna happen, right? I hope she murders Ari and becomes her doppelgänger without anyone finding out so that she has this whole murderous past lol.

I wasn't sure where to ask but does anyone know if they made a boo York pharaoh?

No they didn't, even though most people wished that he had been released  :(  Another wasted opportunity by Mattel.

I've always loved the Universal Monsters so when MH came out I was intrigued, but as they were "girls dolls" i gave them a miss. Although I always keep an eye out when new waves were released. Then came the mansters with the son of medusa, gill monster, werewolf, gargoyles etc and I was totally hooked. So around 4 years ago I bought my first boy Deuce and Gill 2 pack. Then I saw the Ghouls Alive Frankie which was such a cool concept so she came home with me, why not I thought she's a bit like an action figure version of Frankensteins daughter so how cool is that? Then in TRU I noticed that there were other adult males buying these things and it was pretty much all downhill from there haha. I think i've around 180 or so of these little creations so far. Since the reboot I swore that I was only gonna get sig dolls with full articulation but somehow a budget Clawdeen has found her way home to me followed by Electrified Frankie, which of course then had me getting more 'Fied dolls and last week I was lucky enough to find the 2 ASDA exclusive Venus and Cleo at half price at £7.50! They are both so beautiful in my opinion. One thing that I do not like though are Frankies moulded unpainted stitches, which I have now resolved. I did think of rebodying her but I quite like the action feature, so it was time to crack out the paints again and now I'm much happier with her. Now I just need to get Twyla and Clawdeen.
So yeah that's pretty much how my collection started.

Wow that's.... disappointing. Molded on tights and a generic tutu. Like she's pretty, don't get me wrong, and I like her accessories, but hm... not your best, Mattel. At least she's articulated!

Pretty much exactly how i'm feeling about her. She's a pass for me, I don't need a ballet line. Now if she was a continuation of the Zombie Shake line i'd be screaming with excitement. But as I said, this line isn't for me.

Yeah, Dracula does not have any elbow, wrist or ankle articulation unfortunately, maybe you saw some promo pics.

On the topic of Mr Drac, he has a buffed up body, if anyones interested.

Monster Discussion / Re: Mattel, give us some zomboys
« on: July 09, 2017, 02:48:59 AM »
Zombies are still a hot property at the moment with all the TV shows Walking Dead etc so they ought to capitalise on the fact and get some zomboys out there to retail. Who knows it may even draw more new fans into buying and collecting more MH dolls.
As the boys were created specifically for the reboot movies I think it's safe to assume that Mattel doesn't deem them too scary or dark....hmm brains lol.

It looks like a LOL doll, and not in a good way. It also looks like the arms and legs are glow in the dark. Still, whatever Mattel, it's a pile of cr*p.

Monster Discussion / Mattel, give us some zomboys
« on: July 08, 2017, 09:58:30 AM »
The title is self explanatory, where are the zomboy dolls? In the movies they're really funny and I love em. Wouldn't it be great if we got a few of these mansters? Plus it would be easy to make various versions of them as they really just need the one head sculpt, but I wouldn't complain if they gave us various facial expressions either.
Come on Mattel, you can do it for the fans :) pretty please.

Their heads are smaller than the regular size ghouls, so you'ed end up with 'pin head syndrome'. Not a good look :P

I <3 Fashion Iris Clops. I've been after her since way back when but I wasn't gonna pay £30. She was on sale reduced to £20 and I had a £5 coupon so I ended up with a pretty sweet deal. She is just so awesome in her eyeball outfit and I love all the painted details on her earrings, necklace and shoes, she is just a terrific gal and I love her even though I also have her SDCC sig.
