Ever After High Discussion / Re: It's official
« on: September 03, 2018, 12:15:13 PM »
I'm hoping them saying MH is still alive means they're going to get out those lines we were promised, like howling hoodies.
A shame about EAH but perhaps it closing down means they have more resources to put toward MH? Hopefully.

I had to get my 5 pack from an Arena member in Mexico.  Another member in Colombia got Sweet Treats Cupid for me.

I know Ghostly Tea Party Lagoona has a listing on the American Amazon, I have her bookmarked, but so did the chase version of the vinyl Rochelle, and that never showed up anywhere.

May I ask how you went about asking someone!? I want a sweet treats darling for my collection of my best girl, but it seems unlikely we'll get them so I wanna figure out how to get one elsewhere before it's too late!
A listing on amazon doesnt automatically mean it is available for purchase, correct? More of a placeholder?

With placeholders in Canada, that probably means these lines aren't totally cancelled, so that's good!

Yeah but it's possible they only appear in Canada like the Maul 5 pack.

The maul 5 pack only came out in Canada? I had no idea.

Clawdeen's Closet / modifying clothes for MH
« on: July 27, 2018, 07:30:22 AM »
Does anyone take in barbie clothes for MH? I've managed it on a few items but was wondering if anyone had any experience or tips.
Especially with all these branded fashion packs...

Moving this to Clawdeen's Closet - Wuvmykitties

Very cute but not quite unique enough to tempt me to buy. Plus no Target near me.

Good on Amy for becoming successful enough to make a doll line though.

Claire, have you ever watched Say 'I Love You'?  You'd probably like that one a lot.

I havenít but its definitely on my list! My... freakishly long list..

XD  I know right?  I've lost count of how many titles are in my queue now. lol

My Little Monster is another really good romcom.  It's very funny and cute, and the characters are fantastic.
I might have watched My Little Monster? Wasn't there a chicken? I don't recall much else. My boyf at the time wanted me to watch it..

I refuse to start collecting Funko pops...I have so many toy collections, and i try to stick to either 12in doll scale, or mini toys that can work as doll toys. I do like them though. And I collect some other Funko toys, i really love the Pint Size Heroes, and i like the keychain size ones as well. I have Discord, Stitch, Wall-e, and a Black Panther keychain. I'm not sure how many PSH i have at the moment...I have Tinkerbell, and the Vampire Teddy and mummy guy, the green ranger and a..gray enemy? (i dont know power rangers) Freddy, Golden Freddy, and Foxy, Steven and Garnet, and the Green Goblin, Spiderman 2066(?) and Peter Parker.
I also have Raven and Ennard as Funko Mystery Minis, which i cant say i like as much.

Monster Discussion / Re: Your Monster High OCs
« on: July 17, 2018, 02:57:51 PM »
I've had an OC for a while, but never really had a definitive design for her until now. Her name is Oozie. She's the daughter of Slimer from Ghostbusters. I suck at back stories, but I have a bit about her. She's really clumsy, since she's basically slime, she sometimes drips slime behind her and it leaves a trail. She also slips on it all the time. She's also the ghoul to seek out if you need a snack since her bag is just filled with assorted snacks.

here she is

Oh gosh i love her! She's so adorable and her slime drips look so nicely made

FMA Brotherhood, Soul Eater, and Ouran High School Host Club are easily my top 3. I also loved Aggretsuko, and some american styled anime like Teen Titans, Avatar the last Airbender, the Netflix+Dreamworks revival of Voltron...
I dont watch without english dubs, and I really only have netflix and my local library to use...so my selection is limited.
Netflix Castlevania was good, though i had never played the games. I also loved Pokemon Sun and Moon, after not being able to catch up with the Pokemon anime for years. I got most of the way through Cowboy Bebop as well, and i hope to finish it someday..
I also love Ghibli films, especially Howl's Moving Castle.
I am eager for new seasons of Castlevania, (because I heard if it does well theres a possibility of a Metroid anime) Aggretsuko (and merch) and Voltron, because i am SO invested in it.
I suppose all of those are my recommendations. Please feel free to ask me about any of them!

Love me some ATLA! I really need to finish/rewatch Korra though. I stopped watching it when it went to Nick.com strictly.
Also, love the Ghibli films. Need to catch up on more recent ones as well. Arrietty was the last one I saw.
A friend of mine is obsessed with Aggretsuko, but I don't blame her. It's super fun and I can't wait for the second season.

Is there a reason you don't watch subbed? Just wondering :)

Yeah! Often when i watch shows, i have to be doing something as well. For one, my dad considers tv a timewaster. (Along with most things i do) So it often gets me in less trouble. Also, I get pretty antsy as well. Not good at sitting and staring for ages.
So i need to be able to hear and understand whats going on, even if i'm not currently looking up at that moment. :)

Edit: Also, my second hobby is cosplaying, so i go to cons a lot. And as I'm american, i really only have opportunities to meet english voice actors.

Penalized for taking bathroom breaks, penalized for being even more than 30sec late to work, water dispensers supposed to be full but always empty, the bus to the warehouse costing too much of the small wages they had, so workers started camping in the nearby woods, someone got really sick for repeated UTIs from being afraid to pee, others have collapsed due to dehydration...I'm sure theres more but i cant recall at the moment.
The strike is supposedly all of Prime week, so that in theory its hits them on the day they were supposed to have greatest profits.
Obviously I dont want to support them, but I'm poor, and have several hobbies that you generally need amazon for...

edit: also, apparently workers have gone on strike before, but amazon simply moves location to somewhere new, where they have different labor laws or something of the sort

Um, hate to burst your bubble, but most of those stories have been debunked and the employees that reported these conditions admitted to lying to the press. I've worked for the company for over eight years, and believe me, I would NOT be working there if the conditions were like that. The lack of air conditioning was rectified 6 years ago and it affected one building that was built in the '70s and retro-fitted into an Amazon warehouse. The camping out thing only happened in the UK. US workers have NEVER gone on strike, because we don't have unions. Only the European buildings do and their labor laws don't cover all of the benefits the American workers have. No one stops you from using the restroom, there are water coolers that are connected into the water line for the building so they are never empty. Most buildings give out reusable water bottles to employees when they get hired so they can have water with them at their stations. We have onside medical reps that patrol the buildings at all times to make sure the employees are safe and healthy.

I'm not saying it's the best company in the world, but it's not nearly as bad as those slanderous articles would have you believe.

The strike is taking place in Spain not the US. While conditions here might be fine its entirely possible the warehouses in Spain might have labor issues, especially if it's contracted out to a different company.
Yup, its in spain, if i forgot to mention. Also, amazon is a big enough company as is. If there were better alternatives, i would love to hear them

If modders had known those hands were a one off, I bet Mattel would have sold a ton of 'replacement' parts.
Did they do that often? I thought it was just that torso pack sold online.

I dont yet own a Treesa myself, but if i were to rebody her, does her head work better on a Frightfully Tall doll or someone like Clawdeen or Cedar Wood?
