If anyone's curious about it, I can post pictures of my dismembered dolls bits.
I'd definitely like to see them! I tried to swap out EW Daring's legs with dtfa Deuce and it didn't work at all. Deuce's legs just sort of hung off the joints. By chance, did their respective joints look at all like these

Okay so this is a major pipe dream but ever since we saw teen Giles and Milton in Thronecoming and that little fist bump they did during the flashback in Dragon Games I've kind of dreamed of a Milton/Giles/Baba Yaga three pack based around their high school years.
In terms of realistic wants I second the notion for Black/White Swan Duchess. I'd also adore Real Girl Cedar but I doubt they'd do the same character twice in a row. Sleeping Curse Briar, Evil Fairy Queen Faybelle, or Destiny fulfilled Rosabella would be others I'd adore.

If you've been wondering if we'll get another movie after Electrified, good news! Amazon has a listing for the novelisation of Autumn 2017's movie.
I wonder if itís linked to the recently leaked lines, or if Mattel have something else waiting in the wings.
Yay! I can't wait to see what's in store.

Saw Electrified Cleo, Venus, Clawdeen, Draculaura and Twyla but no Frankie. No Party Ghouls either *grump*. Both of my local walmarts feel like they're stuck in the middle of their resets, there's some new stuff out but I haven't seen one of those displays in the middle of the aisle for a week or two.

If anyone just wants Rochelle's Stock let me know. I'd like to split it as I'm not really into her Stock.
I was wondering if anyone would be willing to part with her stock
. I'll PM you.

Cleo's outfit and Lagoona's shoes have been spotted https://www.instagram.com/p/BPUDNuKhyQb/. Happy Cleo's is two pieces.I'm not recognizing that Twyla in the upper right. Is that just a randomly put together doll or something new? I swear it looks like she has Dustin on her headband.
She's from the Garden ghouls assortment that got leaked recently

Does anyone know what's up with the new Venus dolls? Apparently the back of her boxes don't have the diagram showing the removable arms and hands. Can Venus not have her hands removed?
According to a couple of people on instagram her hands and arms cannot be removed and looking at the back of both her party ghouls and electrified boxes (here
respectively), neither have the diagram showing removability. So she's fully articulated but her hands/arms are non removable and her joints are a little ugly. Interesting to note is that both of these dolls have the curved Gloom Beach Cleo hands rather than the normal hands.
Other than gimmick releases no other doll lacks the diagram, which leads me to believe this is deliberate and Venus-specific (especially since Electrified Twyla has the exact same hands but has the diagram). I'm not sure why
they've done this but...it's a thing

They've been found in Houston! Looks like Target to me?https://www.instagram.com/p/BPVO9zzgWvt/
It didn't occur to me at all that these three were connected with the party hair Draculaura.

It should just pull off. There should be a sliver cut out of the underside that let's it be removable. The plastic is hard but it shouldn't break.

That's Ghouls Night Out Lagoona! She's probably my top fave Lagoona ever. Those leggings belong to SDCC Wydowna though.

I do have a question though about the unarticulation, how is that related to a younger audience? I realize that younger kids might not display the dolls and pose them, etc but I didn't know if you meant as a safety hazard.
Little kids have a tendency to lose small items. This includes hands and arms. Anyone who finds dolls at thrift stores can attest that dolls who have clearly been used by kids are often missing limbs, and I imagine that lost hands and arms can be annoying for parents. Eliminating that can boost the likelihood parents will buy the dolls.

I've been wondering the same thing about the stamps on the back. I'm terrible when it comes to noticing the difference between face molds. The only one that looks different to me is Lala (obviously.)
Face paint can really change the look of the actual molds underneath.
Frankie, Clawdeen, and Cleo all have ©2008 on the back of their heads. Draculaura, Ari, and Moanica are all ©2015. Can't vouch for Lagoona or anyone else I don't have a reboot release of.

Overall, I do feel like the reboot is a good thing if it helps sustain the brand. I find the responses to the reboot have turned me off of collecting more than the reboot itself. Seeing all the negativity makes me really uninterested.
This is basically me as well. Except the negativity only makes me defend it more because I am a creature of spite. It's hard for me to muster up anger or hurt over something this inevitable and out of my hands. Mattel likely did months of testing, focus groups, and rewriting to even get the reboot off the ground and who am I to tell the dozens of test children and mothers of test children that they're wrong and I'm right?
I pick up the dolls that interest me and leave the ones that don't just like before. I'm just kind of meh, the things I really like I really like but the stuff I don't like is only annoying, not rage-inducing. I genuinely adore several aspects. The addition of moulded details, the new body shape, the refocusing of the original ghouls (sorry, they're my faves), the new CGI, the increased focus on giving us a lot of clothes. My only serious complaints are that I don't like how the amount of makeup variance has shriveled up and I don't like that diaries have disappeared, that's it.
I think the fact that I came into the franchise late really colors my perception. By the time I came in we were already in minidress and one-piece signature outfit heck, so the outcry is a little confusing for me. Articulation was more like a feature than a selling point (for me) so the unarticulated dolls aren't really bothersome as long as they're pretty and interesting.
In addition I've always just kind of excepted that the 3 or 4 different G1 canons would never match up despite frequently taking elements from each other. The Diaries sometimes contradicted the webisodes, the webisodes sometimes contradicted the various books, sometimes even the doll releases themselves contradicted the media. If they don't care about keeping their canon straight why should I?

I think Lagoona and Clawdeen are good improvements- much more realistic outfits for high-schoolers, and Lagoona looks much more attractive, her sporty theme is clearer, and her hood can actually be used! Cleo is good, but on par or maybe slightly below her original. I personally hope the real thing doesn't have the tinsel, it's impossible to deal with.
I agree wholeheartedly. Lagoona isn't my favorite ghoul but it always bugged me how her sporty style kind of went down the drain (and still kind of is). By the time G1 ended she was just as girly as everyone else but with fish themes. FDOS feels like an outfit a sporty chick would wear again.
It literally took until emoji clawdeen for that peachy pink color to make a return in her color scheme and I don't think they ever used that yellow or turquoise from school's out again. The more everyday outfits they gave her the less her G1 signature seemed to fit. FDOS reminds me of her in box IHF outfit/New Scaremester.
Cleo kind of reminds me of Picture Day in a way, I agree about the tinsel though. I also hope they fix her eye makeup. In the animation it's gold but here it's silver and I hope it's because they just had another cleo standing in.

The person on tumblr who got Abbey early said that the reboot seems to use a different and better type of plastic...I wonder what they mean by that?
I believe she was talking about abbey's hair. Apparently kanekalon no longer makes doll hair
, and since Abbey's colored streaks were kanekalon they're probably the same material as her white hair now. They might have also gotten an overall better quality fiber.
