I backed a Crystal Unicorn tarot card deck on Indiegogo.

I'm really liking Clawdeen and Ari's hair, but those dresses are so bland-tastic. I would've loved something more lolita-ish or rococco with a monster-y twist, instead of a word dress and another note/sheet music/piano key motif for the musical character. The heavy handed approach of notes on everything annoyed me with Operetta(whom I love anyway) back in G1 and it annoys me now, because it ruins an otherwise perfectly good Ari. I'm not a redresser, but I guess there's a first time for everything. I'll have to hunt down an old Spectra fashion pack and send that note dress packin'.

Might or might not get the monster onesie Venus. Keep going back and forth, which means I'll probably get her in the end, despite being totally meh about her bonus outfit.

-All of Shriekwrecked, except for Gil & Clawdeen. Never been a Gil fan & that particular Clawdeen was plainer/tamer than I like my dolls. Everything else was solid. The nautical headdresses were my favorite.
-Raythe, who is probably the best looking male character to come out of MH.
-Collector's Abbey.  <3 her makeup. I'm all about those melty brows.
-Ballerina Moanica's shoes + tiara.
-Ghoulia & Cleo's "SDCC 2017" collector's release. That beautiful, beautiful packaging with the Egyptian motif=pure perfection.
-Getting another Amanita.
-Finally getting my name punned in the MH verse, albeit on a pixie-ish add-on charater("Beetrice"). Hey, I'll take it.
-Treesa. I loved the weird, branch-y arms everyone else hated. Wasn't into the growing gimmick much, but I loved how unique her mold was & finding all the little details in her was pretty exciting.
-Discovering that Dance the Fright Away Draculaura's hat was directly inspired by an item of clothing I own.
I know that, because someone made a designer's inspiration board thread here a year ago or so.
-Cleo's molded on bandages.

Big fan of the shoes and the headdresses, but the rest is  :nope:

The boyfriend bought parts for a gaming computer, so that we may kill raid bosses in like...real time, sans lag.
It's currently being put together in another room, accompanied by numerous salvos of profanity.

:argh: May the Force be on our side.

I guess I wouldn't call myself a doll collector(despite having 100+ MH dolls, ha ha), but someone that's heavily into alternative fashion, who likes having little plastic things around that mirror my love of loud, bold wardrobe choices. I can't tell you how many times I've been told that I look like a Monster High doll prior to actually owning one. My interest started with "Sweet Screams", because Frankie could have literally pulled these things from my closet. The mood board for collector's Draculaura featured things I actually own. To me the antithesis of that equals Emoji dresses and other boring "real people streetwear" which earns an automatic no go as far as new purchases go.

Also children, babies, etc. I've had an aversion to baby/child dolls since being about 3 years old myself, so that one is rooted pretty deeply  :wonder:

Super clearanced Electrified Draculaura.

I loathe that smiling face mold, but liked her dress(it looks a lot like my casual wardrobe) and hair enough to bring one home for $4.98.

Yeah, so the animation is super awkward, that's a given. But what I can't get past is that in trying to add more action & adventure to the series, they somehow managed to make it more boring. Since all the extra minutes seemed to bring to the table amounted to filler dialogue between Drac & her Dad. I miss the daily scholastic shenanigans like picture days and proms and science experiments gone awry.

I liked the heavy makeup background zombie girl though.

I'm guessing that Twyla is Toned, Draculaura is Down and Frankie is Forever. I really miss the freaky fabulous outfits & makeup. This just isn't doing it for me.

Edited to add: I *do* really like the sandwiches themselves though.

What in the-
Godddd no.

What happened to SPOOKY chic!? This is not even close to spooky. They're monsters, for cripes' sake! At least some of the other lines try to have at least a little bit of spooky in them, I know it's been watered down a ton but they still incorporated a little spook into most. Or lowkey spook. But this is not even close, it's just... Egyptian ballerina...?

A ballet line for EAH? Totally cool. A generic, girly-frilly-spook-lacking ballet line for MH? Awww heyullll nah.

You said what I'm thinking.
I'm not hating the ballet theme, but I'm really hating the fact that it's not a SPOOKY ballet. Missed opportunity for shredded, tattered tutus and Black Swan-ish makeup. But y'know, soccer Mom focus groups weren't into heavy makeup and "mean" looking monsters, so that's what we get.

This reminds me of the time Venus arbitrarily took up basketball.

Party Hair Draculaura.
I do not love the static arms( things changed from the time I initially started posting here & didn't quite understand why full articulation was so important to so many people), but I do love fantasy hair. And my fondness for the latter won over my dislike of the former. Plus she comes with a summer-y pastel goth dress AND a stand, so yeah, I knew that she'd join my MH army sooner or later.

 Don't care how hideous the rubber skirts on those bug girls are/aren't! As far as I'm concerned, as long as the bee girl is named "Beetrice" and not "Beeanca", I'm getting her. Waited long enough for Monster High to pun my first name.

Firstly, I just couldn't pass up that $7.98 Silvi at a Target clearance sale on Friday. Then yesterday, I picked up the Catty & Toralei Fierce Rockers 2-pack at a Toys R' Us that I've never gone to before. Haven't seen that 2 pack around in forever, so I certainly didn't mind paying full price.

I really liked Ghoul Chat's whole pastel aesthetic(kept mine in the box), Zombie Shake Rochelle & Venus for the dramatic makeup and SDCC Villain Pack with Whisp & Valentine.
