Off Topic / Re: Unlife after Monster High
« on: March 01, 2018, 09:31:17 AM »
Even before the reboot really started up I was giving more attention to my BJD's.  So that's where all my doll/hobby money has been going.

As much as I love them, it is still a hard adjustment because I can't just go and impulse buy one like mh.  Hunting for new doll releases was kind of the thing that me and my GF would do on the weekends back when I was in highschool and part of college, but now those are just fond memories.

As far as things I would love to see, if they wanted to revive the Collector's edition line ala draculaura style, in a smaller run for collectors, I'd be all for it.
They only used that gorgeous body once.  I wanted a Collector's Frankie so bad and they never made her.  I feel pretty content with the MH I have otherwise, but darn I'd get a whole set of the six main ghouls in that style.

Welcome to my sales thread! Just pm me if you have questions or are interested in anything!

I am in the US, I take paypal for payment and will ship internationally.  I do holds for 48 hours unless discussed before hand, and I have cats but they are kept away from any dolls / doll items!

Custom Gooliope painted by me. (rest of pics under spoiler tag) $35 + shipping

Sorry but you are not allowed to view spoiler contents.
She was painted by myself in liquitex acrylic then give a gloss coat for extra shininess in her goo drips.  She will also be coming with the pictured barbie dress!

Scary Godmother Doll Sold!

Her hair has been conditioned, so it is pretty soft.  She comes complete with her box.

Chogokin Drossel charming $90 + shipping
MonsterArts Alien $25 + shipping
Figma Drossel $20 + shipping

Figured I'd offer these here before they go to eBay.  All figures have been taken out of the box for display, otherwise they are complete even if the items aren't sitting in the box right.  I will take more pictures upon request!

Nice reroots!  I especially think vandala makes a lovely redhead.

This went to the way side a little more then I would have liked  ^^;
Instead of waiting to get outdoor photos I finally put together some pictures of the last custom I teased.  I introduce to everyone, Lavender the fox!

(rest under spoiler tag)

I painted her up with acrylic and sculpted her new muzzle, ears, and hind feet with apoxie.

Thanks, both of you!
She's very pretty. I can't wait to see your next custom! Did you sculpt her paws?
I did sculpt her paws.  I'll do a whole run down on everything she has once she's posted

Hello everyone, and welcome to my newest custom thread!

02/08 clawdeen custom added to latest post!

The first doll I'll be sharing in the new thread is Merril, an Angel in chains.

The making of Merril!  All of her details, including some in-progress pics.
Sorry but you are not allowed to view spoiler contents.

I hope you like her, and here's a sneak peak at the custom I'll post next week! (She's getting her tail this weekend...)

I love the minis and their tiny little pets! Hopefully they won't be too annoying to find... I am very fond of frankie and watzit.

Monster Discussion / Re: Mermaid Siren torso/arms?
« on: August 26, 2017, 08:16:18 PM »
There was never a matching toros released for the siren CAM, unfortunately.  When I had when I found that if you had a particularly blue lagoona that it looked okay, but it still wasn't perfect.

I'm just going to add on with what SaeleVe has stated, in that liquitex is less toxic, but that you should still wear a respirator and work in a well ventilated area if you use it in an airbrush.  All varnishes give off fumes as they cure, even brush on, and that is nothing you want in your lungs when it's used in an airbrush!  If you use it as a brush on, you don't have to worry about the respirator.

Thanks, everyone  <3
I admit that I wish I had more regal clothing for her, but alas I just never got much cleo clothing as I've said before.  I really wish I had gotten Iheart fashion cleo, but I never saw her in stores.  Probably would have had some great stuff for her!

I think I'm in agreement with everyone who has said the mh arena will keep going.  Sure, it will probably slow down quite a bit, but go away completely?  Nah.
Just because a doll line is no longer active doesn't mean it diminishes our love for the older dolls, even if mine are in storage   ^^;

Posted a couple pics of redressed cleo here!,14519.0.html

Figured I'd start this thread, as I'd love to see more pics of these two!
Here are my attempts at redressing Cleo -

So, how many of you are leaving these two in box?  Sheer curiosity on my part, doesn't sound like many are unboxing them!
I've actually been playing with redressing cleo, strangely enough.  If anyone's interested I'll make a thread for pics, although I don't have much cleo appropriate clothing XD

I got them and unboxed them last night!  I love these two so much, but be warned!  It seems like cleo is more prone to be flawed (irony).  Mine definitely has eye wonk, not to the point that I can't stand it, but it's there and the headdress looks off on her because of it  :|

I think the little differences can also be chalked up to amazon's pictures being the prototype version.
The shoes are split down the center as we usually see with the prototypes.

Alivia is super cute, but pretty much a relflection of frankie with head stitching and bolts (which I love!).  She's the best sibling we've seen so far, even if I would have preferred a little brother for frankie.
