My Barbies always had lots of car accidents.  Everyone survived.  :)

My poor Barbies never survived their car crashes! :ghost: That's how my best friend and I ended every game so we could start fresh with new personalities in the next game. We would load Barbie into her corvette and she would drive down the spiral staircase that led to my friend's room and fly through the gap where one of the supports was missing and end up having a fatal crash into the fish pond below! hahaha

I re-dress my MHs and pose them on the shelves, but nothing much more than that. I am lucky though I have 3 kids who love playing with dolls so I can join them and just claim it's for their benefit that I'm sitting crosslegged on the floor surrounded by Barbies/Mhs/Lego/whatever :sheepish:

My girls love them because of the apps that you can use with them on an ipod/iphone. We have 2 of the initial (re-)re-releases (crazy to think they keep re doing them every few years :P ) and are desperate for one of the crystal ones each for their birthdays.

I'm really tempted to get my son Furbacca when it is released since he is absolutely CRAZY about Star Wars at the moment

I grabbed FFT Toralai and GG Rochelle... but they are getting put away for my daughter's birthday.

I know I'll cave and get my favourite characters in the larger form! The fact that they mentioned big and little sister sizes in the initial description has me hopeful they'll release one of all the dolls so I can get each of my faves (Ghoulia, Oppie, Venus and Skelita)

We haven't got the series 4 mediums down here yet (not that I've come across anyway) but we do have the mini blind mushrooms

I managed to find 2 Skeleton ones for myself (my daughters get the rest :P ) as well as one of the pirate. Now I really want the medium ones!

I just saw these at Kmart last night. o_O

They were quite cheap. Does anyone want me to look for some of them for you? I can possibly get over there again next week?

Are they the same ones as in the vid? We've had them hanging around for a year or so in Kmart (pretty sure they are getting shifted to the clearance section to make room for new stuff), but they only ever had Cleo, Lala, Clawdeen, Goona and Abbey. It drove me insane because they never brought out a Ghoulia one.

edit: Actually the Clawdeen one does look remarkably similar to the ones in Kmart. If they are the same it would have to be a first for Aus to actually get something that the rest of the world doesn't! :P

Monster Discussion / Re: So, do you buy online?
« on: February 09, 2015, 03:57:33 PM »
Living in Aus, where doll releases are kind of sketchy, if I want to get a certain doll in a timely manner I kind of need to resort to online purchases. I've never really had any issues with the dolls I've received (except for my scaritage Oppie who had somewhat squished eye screening), though I'm not super fussy so long as the doll isn't majorly wonky! :P

I'd say about 75% of my collection is from online purchases

I was pretty meh about Venus until I got my daughters the MF one. The box art was what made me realise she was awesome! Now she is one of my absolute favourites!

 This pack is freaking awesome! They definitely looks like prototype dolls, so I'm going to assume there will be more details/fixed details (Ghoulias glasses etc)... but honestly I'd take them as is! They look amazing to me! Finally another Ghoulia!

Here's a quick photo of my Rochelle army.  I only need Scarisian Vacation, Haunted, and Freak du Chic.

My eldest daughter would be in heaven with that many Rochelles! She is determined to own them all!

I have every Venus (except the pink eyeshadow swim class version), Ghoulia (except SwS) and Operetta, plus extras to wear all the fashion packs/spare outfits... so those are my armies. I am also on my way to building an army of Skelitas. I love seeing masses of the same doll on display!

I wonder if the fitness ones will be a multi pack :wonder: I kinda like them despite the lack of shoes :P

Robecca and Honey on the other hand are a bit blagh to me

I just found the deluxe Haunted range at my local Kmart! :woot: They only had Kyomi, Vandala and River though, so I'm not sure if Porter had already sold or wasn't included in the box selection. They had 2 of each ghoul... so I grabbed myself a Vandala and River!

Clawdeen's Closet / Re: What type of sewing machine do you have?
« on: January 29, 2015, 02:28:50 AM »
I just traded up from a cheapo little Brother machine my Mum bought me years ago (my first machine) to a fancy new Janome Horizon MC 8200QC!  :woot:

My poor old Brother has been struggling and the stitches were starting to slip so I figured I needed to upgrade to something a bit more sturdy and reliable. I'm not a big fan of Brother machines in general and after trying out the Janomes in the store I am a total convert! They are amazing! My husband balked a bit at the $2000 price tag (I did myself! :faint: ) but it is an awesome machine and so user friendly!

The more I look at pics of her the more the design around her eyes looks like running mascara, like she's been crying or something!

GnB Venus for meeeee! We were actually shopping for a birthday present for a friend's kid, but I couldn't pass her up!

Well she's a definite pass for me. She kind of looks like a mash-up of Avea (mainly the face screening) and Venus. That said I'm pretty particular about the type of characters I collect, which Amanita doesn't fit in with, so she was never really going to appeal to me.

Her hair is a lovely colour! I like the royal blue/purple type shade!

Argh! GnB! Now I need to go to our local Target and see if they've arrived yet! :search:

I've yet to see Scaritage in the wild and I suspect it's going to be one of those ones that just kind of creeps in at obscure shops and doesn't really get "released". I've got Oppie (bought of ebay, though it was meant to be the killer style Kohls exclusive one  ), but I desperately want Skelita!

Sons of Anarchy. My BFF got me into it after the show had been on for two seasons. Now that it's over I'm one season behind.

I was the same with SOA. I finally caught up last year and then was waiting around for the final season to air so I could get my fix! Better to be behind and be able to binge watch a show when you feel like catching up! :P
