If they're doing all the Halloween versions, I hope we get Demon Symmetra *_*

Cleo (School's Out) and Mousedes (Sig).

I love the "spoiled princess with a heart of gold" trope, and when I first got into the line, it was Cleo that impressed me. "And I am nothing is not magnanimous."

I mean lets be honest, the people who ran Toys R Us into the ground, may now want to bring it back, isn't that pretty much what they are saying here?
Sell it off give someone else a chance to run it, they've already shown they couldn't.

It's "No one paid us enough to actually make it worth selling so let's try again".

In a bankruptcy court filing Monday, the funds said they had canceled a plan to auction off the company’s intellectual property. Instead, they are seeking to reorganize the assets into a new company that will maintain the current license agreements and can invest in new retail operating businesses.

You know, I missed TRU more than I thought I would. So this is nice.

The only NYCC reveal I really like is Okoye and her wig.

Though Jan and George Glass is hilarious too.

I was just thinking how much I missed MHNTM. I have far less dolls now, but I still want to photograph them. I'd be up for a challenge!

I think later in the line, the Skelita's became rarer, especially her Scaritage one.

Has anyone seen the Hoodie girls anywhere?  I haven't seen them IRL or online.

They were not released.

The first competent MH dolls in a year and a half and...they're not released :(

A lot of our Forces of Destiny dolls are now 5$ that used to be 20$.

Even that fancypants Leia set is like 10$.

There is a humongous leak on the subreddit and I only took three things away from it.

- Wild Thornberrys.
- Lots of Disney Supercute Plush.
- And finally, almost three years after they announced it, Star Vs. The Forces of Evil.

^ Well, that doesn't entice me to go out and buy toys. Way to go yet again, Toys R Us!

I did get an exclusive POP for 9$ instead of 11.99$ a few days ago. Not bad.

I saw the "So where are they?" posts and went back to the first page going "Well this just got made a week ago...wait a's May..."

Where are they....

Heck, I was in middle school and me and my friends wanted Neopets plushies.

Maybe he can get some of his friends to fund a decent MH movie and get some merchandising out.

One of the things seldom discussed about the decline of MH is just the general decline of the popularity of monsters in mainstream media. Obviously monsters won’t go away completely but MH hit at the fever pitch of Twilight, Walking Dead and other zombie media, rebooting Teen Wolf, etc.

Superheroes and women’s empowerment are much more trendy right now (although I hope the latter just becomes second nature). Superhero monsters would be a bit weird but certainly MH’s “be yourself, be unique” would resonate and could help it gain some traction again.

Also classic fantasy creatures like unicorns and mermaids are trendy right now. I can't help but think if MH wasn't in decline and EAH had been more popular we would have gotten a crossover that leans more towards the EAH side of things.

Honestly, this. There are seeds in both franchises on how to make this some kind of dark ethereal franchise.

When G1 officially ended.

Up until it's last hurrah with Ghoul Rockers, I didn't have a huge problem with the dolls. Sure some were a bit less expensive, but they were still clever (Ghoul Fitness).

Hopefully this two year plan to recover from the debt will help - I can't imagine how would it be if Mattel ever had to file for Bankrupcy :| I'm also super curious as to what caused them to be in such a huge debt.

Me too...surely some of that is not getting a ROI on Gen 2 or general.....but not nearly that much.

That wouldn't be a long-term solution to making the dolls better, maybe only for a year or so.
