Soooo....I am in the process of trying to create some custom guys for my EAH collection....making my own versions of characters like Hopper, Sparrow, Humphrey, etc. But trying to find bait dolls to use can be expen$ive. Sure, I could probably get Hunter cheap, but then I'd have to repaint the skintone. Alistair and Dexter average around $20 or more on the 'bay, and if there are less ex
I'm trying to find out if there are any other boy dolls that are the same height as the EAH ones. I know that MH guys are similar in size but only Deuce & Jackson are flesh toned. I also know Descendants are similar too. I saw some jointed male dolls on Aliexpress that I thought might work, since I know they sometimes are smaller than Ken dolls. Of course they'd need their skintone repainted, but they would probably be inexpensive. I have some My Scene guys I found for cheap that I could use, but they're taller.
Are there any other boy dolls that are the same size as the EAH ones? Or....are there any that I could "shorten" (like some have done the mansters) so they're the same height? I don't want any without articulation.

After giving it a lot of thought, I've finally decided to start a thread featuring my (pathetic) attempts at sewing, and also some clothes I've altered for Monster High and Ever After High dolls.
A couple years ago, I attempted to make a pattern of my own for a basic top for MH ghouls. I hand sewed it. I also made a pair of "denim" pants, using a pattern block for MH dolls on Deviantart. (Link is further down.)
Below is my custom ghoul, Ursula Yellan, wearing my first attempts.
At first they were much too big, and I had to scrap them and sew another pair.
But I kept my traced pattern of those pants to try on the mansters. I came up with these for Clawd:
Later on, I got a sewing machine and decided to try and make a top for the guys from a freehand pattern. My first one was too small, the sleeves were too tight.
I made some adjustments and this is the result!
Same fabric, different shirt.
The pattern blocks for the pants can be found here. fylgjur.deviantart.com/art/Pattern-Blocks-Monster-High-BOY-285659239
I've since made a few more basic outfits and a dress or two from a pattern.
Keep checking back here for more creations, alterations, and tips. I hope you enjoy this as much as I will! LOL

Yesterday I didn't get a chance to post a pic or 2 some clothes I've altered to fit MH/EAH.
This one was a Barbie fashion I bought especially for Frankie.
It's hard to tell I know, but there are straps. I adjusted the straps as well as the back.
Once I discovered how easy it was to alter them, I began finding all kinds of gorgeous Barbie clothes.
These are 2 of my favorite customs...the ghoul on the left is Vampelina, from the CAM vampire set, wearing a Mystixx wig. The other is Slitherine Gorgon. She was originally from Mexico and had a hollow plastic body. She looks like a feminine version of Deuce with her braids but she was too cool and unique to pass up!
