There is almost always a Draculaura of some kind!
Also, I seem to have acquired no less than three Coffin Bean Clawdeens.

Monster Discussion / Re: What do you like about G2?
« on: February 17, 2018, 10:57:02 AM »
* The sweet, friendly faces. I have G2 dolls of Frankie and Draculaura, and I think the faces really suit their personalities.

* The antics of Raythe and Deuce in the films and Ghoul Squad episodes.

* Draculaura's dad. His character in the films and episodes is probably my favourite thing to come out of G2.

* Don't forget that G2 also brought us The Legend of Shadow High, the EAH/MH crossover book, which I really enjoyed.

I must admit a lot of G2 canon makes no sense, but then G1 didn't always make sense and/or was really inconsistent. I just take the ideas I like and make up my own stories, so from that point of view, the switch to G2 really doesn't bother me that much. I will always love the awesome dolls and merchandise of G1 best, however. Which reminds me of one more thing I like about G2:

* Less dolls I want = good news for my finances, and means I have time and money to spend on older dolls! :)

What do you call someone who sells spare doll parts? An arms dealer.

Funny things doll customisers say:
- "Could you get that bag of bodies out of the cupboard?"
- "I'll be there in a minute, I'm just decapitating a vampire!"
- "Hey, can you see a grey hand anywhere? I dropped it."

That's all I can come up with for the moment. Sorry they're not funnier.
Love the one about the reboot dolls lacking articulation :L

Monster Discussion / Re: Do you have any MH things that AREN'T dolls?

I am totally addicted to Monster High colouring/activity books. They're fun to collect and don't take up much space. I especially like French and German ones.
I also have a Monster High duvet cover that I use as a background in doll photos and a Monster High pencil case that I actually use in my day-to-day life. Oh, and I found a Monster High make-up bag type thing in a charity shop, which I keep my ghouls' spare clothes in.
If I had limitless money and space, I would certainly fill my life with even more monster paraphernalia :)

Just been doing some counting!

I have 88 Monster High dolls.
I have 122 dolls total, though, because those 88 Monster High dolls are joined by the following motley crew:
9 Equestria Girls
2 Equestria Girls Minis (Rarity & Sunset Shimmer)
2 Bratzillaz (Cloetta & Yasmina)
2 Ever After High (Maddie & Darling)
2 DC Superhero Girls (Batgirl & Wonde Woman)
2 porcelain dolls (manufacturer unknown)
1 Monster High Megablok (Elissabat)
1 Miraculous Ladybug action figure
1 Disney fairy (Tink)
1 Disney Little Kingdom figure (Anna)
1 17" Disney princess (Pocahontas)
1 Regal Academy (Joy)
1 Winx Club (Flora)
1 Moxie Girl (Sophina)
1 Pinkie Cooper
1 '80s She-Ra figure
1 '70s Palitoy Carrie
1 random small doll made by Simba Toys
3 strange knock-off dolls from the depths of China: a Monsterr Girl (Wydowna), a Khaki Girl (Frankie with a blue afro) and a Sweet Girl.

I have 92 dolls! The majority is Monster High, but there's also 4 Equestria Girls, 1 EAH (Maddie), a couple of action figures, and, most randomly of all, a '70s baby doll made by Palitoy. So I think that makes 84 MH dolls.

Most of one character:
I have 15 Draculauras! Not really sure how that happened. I also have 11 Frankies.

Most from any line:
Scaris! I have Rochelle, Draculaura, Abbey, Ghoulia and Catrine.

Most multiple copies of one doll:
I bought 2 of the Scare & Make-up Clawdeen and Viperine because they were really cheap at the supermarket! I gave the 'extra' dolls different looks so they could be separate characters.

Most of a release format:
I have no idea. Most of my dolls are second-hand anyway, so they don't come in boxes.

Most of any kind of touch-up work/customisation:
Pretty much all my dolls have some sort of modification: redresses, addition of small accessories, change of hairstyle, that sort of thing

Most bought in one day:
A few times I have bought bundles of 4 from eBay sellers. The most I've ever bought at once from an actual shop is 2.

There's certainly some awesome talent here! I've often ended up here from Google Images.

I do try to remember to take before & after pictures, but sometimes I'm so excited to start work that I forget to take before picture :)
Once I get Photobucket to work for me (*shakes fist at contrary computer*), I'll be sure to post some of my photos around here.

Hello! Shaz here. Some of you may have seen me hanging about the MLPArena, though I don't post much. I'm a bit shy, though I ramble on a lot once I get started!

Quite frankly, I love Monster High! It is the toyline I have been waiting for all my life. As a child, I used to pretend my Barbies were witches, vampires and werewolves, and despair over the fact that they had hardly any black/Goth-like clothing. Imagine my delight when I wandered down the toy aisle in 2015 looking for ponies and found monsters! In cute little outfits! With fully poseable limbs! My first ghoul was Avea Trotter. She was quickly followed by Draculaura and Ghoulia, and now somehow I have over 80 of the dear little monsters. And also one EAH girl (Maddie) that I found in a charity shop.

I love doing various creative things with my ghouls, such as drawing them, photographing them, and making up names and personalities for those who need them (if you have 12 Draculauras, they all need different names and personalities, right?). I also like finding secondhand ghouls in bad shape and restoring them. As I also restore MLPs, I often feel like I'm running a doll-and-pony hospital!

Well, I think that covers all things monster-related. Let the ogling of other people's pretty monster pictures etc commence!
