Monster Discussion / MH presence at Toy Fair 2019?
« on: February 25, 2019, 07:42:09 AM »
Granted there were no dolls, but the Mattel hasn't totally given up on them yet. This does give me a glimmer of hope if it comes to fruition.

Or Euna a wolf looking creature that had 9 tails, which I think they transformed into Silvi due to the cancellation of the MH/HEA crossover

Monster Discussion / Re: How would YOU reboot Monster High? Would you?
« on: February 14, 2019, 08:03:36 AM »
I would re-start it with a more grown up Howleen being the main ghoul, then follow up with Twyla, and perhaps Lorna, Moucedes, River, Kjersti, ect then just create all new characters. The generation one ghouls are kind of done to death but seeing them pop up every now and again as older ghouls would be nice too.

Monster Discussion / Ghouls who can mix and match clothes?
« on: February 13, 2019, 06:37:09 PM »
Sometimes I like to redress my dolls in another doll's clothes, but it doesn't always look right.

For instance I can usually put Operetta in Toralei's clothes and sometimes the twins' also. I also believe Catrine looks good in some other Spectra's and vice versa.

Has anybody else done this?

Will ghostly tea party and howling hoodies be released for Xmas?
I don't think so. I swear I saw somewhere it was under canceled content, but I don't remember where I saw the info.

I think they have stopped production, but we'll have to wait until next year til they give an official statement like with EAH.
I still lurk here hoping something will have changes, but alas... it's the end of an era.

The Target reset in my area has no MH at all. Neither does my Walmart. I think it's officially out of production.

Yesterday my WalMart had no MH.

Mine seems to be in the process of getting rid of them, too. They were on clearance and only two were left. They'd only been carrying budget ones for the longest time though.
They used to just have the super budget-y swim suit ones, but now nothing. There is a MH sign with pics of reboot basic dolls, but no dolls in sight.

It will never be the same without Garrett. He has moved on so I believe I am too.

I think it's beyond too late now.

Monster Discussion / Garrett Sander no longer affiliated with Mattel?

Now he is working with Moose Toys? Perhaps he can create a new line like MH working for them?

I'm actually really liking the new lines, it feels like mattel is putting some effort to them beyond the budget line mark. However, and I hate to be that guy, but if i have to be picky, the amount of reused accessories is actually crazy.

On the Ghostly Tea Party Line:

- Clawdeen's teapot is Madeleine Hatter's and her shoes are Toralei's Coffin Bean shoes
- Lagoona's hair piece is Amanita Nightshade's hair decoration, and her shoes are the ones from the
   student exchange program.
- Ari's bag is Signature Spectra's bag. It does seem to me like the fan and the teacups are new, tho!

Not sure about the rest, and not necessarily saying that reusing accesories is bad, but it still feels subpar to what they used to do. The hoodies line is great, anyway. I think out of all of them i'm wanting Ari Poodleton the most. If anything i'll just make her a rococo inspired dress to match the crazy hair!

I hope there are more in the ghostly tea party line but it seems they only feature 3 now!
