« on: November 04, 2018, 08:38:11 PM »
Looking for Monster High and possible Ever After High dolls to rehair. Can be any character, but have preference for werecats. Can be nude, stained, hair cut or gone, with bite and chews. Would prefer if they have arm/hands and original faceup.
Actively looking, please PM if you have baits!

Monster Discussion / Price check on lost dolls
« on: March 26, 2018, 05:17:25 PM »
I haven't been very active outside lurking because I recently found out my dad threw away all of the dolls I was storing at his place, and conveniently forget to tell me (he hasn't been in the best place.) I just wanted to see how much it would cost to begin working on replacing the dolls I lost.

Clawdeen's Closet / Re: Help with odd outfit
« on: March 12, 2017, 08:33:56 PM »
I'm not that great with actual patterns, but if you needed stiff fabric to accomplish this you could use a sponge to apply thin layers of Mod Podge on the fabric, or use a fabric stiffening spray. I know this technique is used for making crowns and tiaras out of lace.

Off Topic / Help identifying old toy?
« on: August 26, 2016, 04:10:45 AM »
Hi, I'm up very late tonight because I feel like I can't sleep until Ifigure out what my old toys from childhood are called. Really, I'm trying to find then again.
What I remember is that they were plastic cats with brushable tails and rotating heads, similar to Little Pretties. These, however, all came in the same pose - tall, skinny, and sitting on their haunches. Their heads were kind of similar to Catwalk Kitties. Each one came with a little ribbon collar with a tag that had the initials of the brand name. The two I had were green with a pink tail, and purple with a pink tail.
Any ideas? I bought them in the early, mid-2000s.

Ever After High Discussion / Re: Has anyone rebodied Daring yet?
« on: August 21, 2016, 03:37:13 PM »
I saw someone on Tumblr who suggested doing a leg transplant with Alistair rather than a full rebody. They just soaked his body in hot water, popped the legs out, and put new ones in.

Didn't they change the size and mold of the pegs for the legs and arms? Maybe that's why.

Sightings / Re: TARGET: Finds & Sales
« on: June 22, 2016, 03:20:23 PM »
Target was heaven  All the Ghoul's Getaway on clearance for $7.48, minus Jane and Elissabat who were $11.24, FdC Clawdeen and Twyla for $9.98, and most other dolls were $5-7 off regular price. The Star Darlings and all Merch was 50% off, a bunch of Bratz were only $6.79, and a surprising amount of My Little Pony figures were 30% off.
If anyone looks on Target.com most of the Bratz on there are only $6. There's even a Jade on clearance for $2.75. Plus all the cheap FdC and other dolls people have mentioned.
Hope this helped!

Off Topic / Disney Doll ID
« on: June 22, 2016, 02:27:08 AM »
So I've had this Ariel doll for a while that I, nor Gooogle, can seem to find. (Excuse the crappy cell pic)

She has glittery eyeshadow and nude lips. Her body reads 2005. It's really the dress that's stumping me - it matches her movie dress almost to a T, and it has a "Disney Store Exlusive" tag. Any ideas?

I also have this Barbie Petalk Pixie lookalike I got around the same time Mermaidia came out. She came with a bubble tray and bubble solution, and her wings double as the wand. I've found similar Barbie dolls released around that time but none that match her. Any idea on her either?

Thank you!

Oh, I think that Unicorn is Twinkleshine! She has very similar colors to Pinkie Pie. She's also slightly uncommon because there were only a few waves of non-Mane 6 ponies released at the beginning of G4 before they reverted back to only releasing core ponies. I love seeing your thrift finds!!

Ever After High Discussion / Re: Way Too Wonderland Lizzie Hearts
« on: June 19, 2016, 09:50:28 PM »
I kinda want to sidetrack this and ask if anyone has noticed the length of Lizzie's front hair pieces being different? On my doll her left strand has to be a whole inch shorter than the right - and the other doll in store had the same problem! Plus, the left strand is dry and slightly frizzy at the bottom.

Have you checked out the MLPArena? You can always use it to search for past price checks and the like.

Not doll themed, but for any pony collectors the Target near me said they were clearing out their stock of the small 5 incj Funrise and had taken them out of the system, so any we found still on the floor only cost $1.06. Maybe they'll start showing up at discount retailers or Dollar Tree?

Clearance is an extra 75% at the moment, so I picked up the Equestria Girls Rainbow Rocks Stage (the exclusive playset) for $8.25. Might be worth checking out  :)

Sightings / DOLLAR TREE: Finds and Sales
« on: January 04, 2016, 05:04:36 PM »
So I know Dollar Tree normally has an assortment of merchandise (puzzles, art, etc.) but today I managed to find the Inner Monster accessory packs. There were two Scared Silly, and maybe four to five Spooky Sweet and Fearfully Fiesty. I bought one of each and I guess I should actually looks into buying the dolls.
Tl;dr: for any Inner Monster lovers, the accessory packs have been spotted at Dollar Tree.

Preorders for the Steven Universe POPs have been put on the Cartoon Network shop, set to be shipped December 14. I seriously like the look of Amethyst. Personally I only have the Cheshire Cat POP, but that's more because I'm trying to limit my colections, rather than anything else.
