I'm just going to agree that my feelings match what others have been saying. I'm not mad, that would be a rather strong feeling to have for a doll line.
If the reboot is working for mattel, great. MH before the reboot was on a downward spiral, and not the same mh that pulled me in. I will just be sad that the reboot is not for me.
Gimmicky dolls and less articulated ones aside, the reboot has brought less character overload, the original ghouls getting more monstery details, and when it isn't the minidress apocalypse they have some cute outfits (if a bit pattern overload, but that's another rant).
What doesn't work for me? Everyone having a similar cutesy face. The sameness and generic cuteness isn't something I desire. I just feel like they could have made them feel younger without them getting so similar and baby eyed. Maybe I justed get a bit grouchy about everyone ranting and raving about them looking their proper age when my girlfriend and I were always mistaken for being way older then we were

Anyone know what doll would best match the purple Sea Monster CAM? I'm thinking Jane but I'm not sure.
Jane is the closest match, but she is more purple to the sea monster cams blue/indigo.

Wait, what, no more replacement parts?
Could you buy some G2 Frankie hands, would they work? I have only two reboot dolls but haven't really noticed any differences with their arms so far, are they that different?
I don't see why one couldn't do this, although I'm pretty sure you'd have to sand the pegs down. The hands would look fine, but the fore arms would look a little off because reboot dolls are overall thicker.

I really love the look on Abbey the most out of the three and Rochelle's the least, which is disappointing because Rochelle is my fav MH character. Abbey is what I'll definitely be buying from this series.
Another disappointment is what others mentioned where Rochelle is missing her claw hands. So it's definitely a "nope" for me on that one.
Venus is cool, but she's never been a character I adored so that's a pass too.
Overall I'm glad they're adding more accessories and great details again when I thought that had been all but lost from Mattel to cut costs.
I've considered going to the parts store to remedy this problem - now that I realize that Rochelle is missing her claws, she joins Lagoona in the list of dolls that I'll probably be replacing their hands.
The old hands won't fit the newer dolls. The peg is different unfortunately. So unless they make the webbed and clawed hands with the new peg they are unfortunately stuck with what they come with.
I really can't wait to find these girls I need Rochelle.
I've gotten old hands to work with the newer dolls. I think if I remember right I just used a brush on sealant to make the peg thick enough to work.

First off, all of your customs of lovely, but Pumpkin girl is amazing! The hair, the outfit, her faceup, everything! I adore her
. We could always use more pumpkins here as far as I'm concerned!

Meowlody, persephone, and catrine all share the same face mold, toralei and catty share the same face mold and then the cat cam has her own unique mold

Wow, I actually really like this drac
In a way her makeup colors and hair are reminding me of collector's draculaura.
I don't need to get her.... She's less articulated and we already have a reboot drac here... But I like her! Dilema.

The halloween ones aren't online are they? I mean if they are then I may as well order a lot and just pick the collection out with codes and return the unopened ones
Sadly, only on eBay for exorbitant prices
I'd be willing to buy a set from eBay if I wasn't going to spend more then $5 on each mini, but that's a pipe dream and I accept that
($10+ for a mini blind bag, even if it's halloween themed, just isn't worth it...)

No halloween minis in Colorado, either. I sure hope we'll get them even if it's late, but my hope keeps dwindling...

I love all the shots of the minis
That is also an awesome pet with doll photo, badgeridoo! My pets would not nearly be as patient
As for my contribution, rolling with my current favorite crafting project my jack o lantern girl got some siblings!

She's none too shabby, maybe the girlfriend and I will be adding another mh doll to the collection after a long dry spell

...I didn't really need more minis, I was happy with having the basics.
But halloween minis, actual halloween themed mh toys? YES!!!!! I need them all!!!

I wonder if her knees bend -
"I'm not gonna open her -"
This. I want to see someone open her up, I mean I'm pretty sure she doesn't have articulated knees, but I have this fear that she has some kind of permanent plastic casing on her torso. Something just looks off at her shoulders, and I can't tell anything more from the glorified box pictures that review was

I have made exactly one, and I don't see myself doing it again
Too many fiddly details. Mine is supposed to be a mini me of my ball jointed doll penny, but I don't think I did to well on the resemblance.
Otherwise I'm loving all the custom minis I've been seeing, kudos to everyone who has the patience to paint them!

Art class draculaura's pink streaks look like catty's magenta pink, which doesn't have a match as far as we know. Your closest bet would be sherbet pink if you're going with saran, chromatic pink is very purple. As for a saran yellow, dollyhair's sunshine yellow and restoredolls cm yellow (both are the same color) would most likely be a match for art class draculaura's yellow. Hope that helps a bit, I'm not too familiar with the different yellows in nylon

Bump, all regular dolls are gone, just the link to my etsy shop and a coupon code are up!

I usually hit up restoredoll and dollyhair myself, depending on which ones have the colors I want. I prefer how dollyhair's website is set up, but I have had nothing but positive experiences with restoredoll (unlike dollyhair, it's ok for the most part but I did order hair back when they were skimping on hanks, and from what I hear their communication is less then satisfactory again
)I've also purchased from retrodollsus waaay in the past, but they seem to have a mostly preorder system in place now so I don't bother because it's confusing

Ooh, I love all the redresses! I wish my SO's drac wasn't off limits, I totally wanna join in redressing now!

Lovely work! I always love seeing repainted shoes, since I'm too lazy to do it myself

Home ick frankie
I sometimes redress her for fun, but her original look, oh nothing can beat it!
