A Eiffel tower shaped pillow for my 18" dolls from Etsy and two Barbie fashion packs from Walmart. Also stick on labels to help me organize so I can find things easily.

That's so weird! My Lagoona from the same line also had two right hands! Luckily I had an extra Lagoona lying around so they swapped hands. I wonder if all of the We R Monster High Lagoonas were released the same way? :wonder:

No, I just checked mine and it has regular left and right hands. So I guess it was a batch, maybe?

Ah, okay. It was probably was just a batch, then. :)

My signature ghoulia and signature spectra. Wonderful quality hair. So soft and smooth

I totally forgot about Signature Spectra! But you're right, I was combing her hair the other day and it's really soft and completely glue-free.

Zombie Belle is going to try to help non-zombie Belle and the Beast with reviving this thread!

I love Zombie Belle's hair! What a beautiful shade of red! Non-zombie Belle and the Beast are sitting next to me as I type this. They told me to say thank you! ;)

Sightings / Re: TUESDAY MORNING: Finds & Sales
« on: March 04, 2019, 08:53:12 AM »
Has anyone been finding anything good recently at Tuesday Morning? I've been really wanting to go to one, but the closest one to me is an hour away. I don't want to waste a trip! :)

I found collectibles Barbies last week: Glam Gown silkstone and Hair Fair repro, and both locations near me still have several Sorcha.  I also still see Homecoming Queen, Alazne, and Golden Dream repro from time to time.

My locations also have had some DC Madame Alexander collector dolls for a while.  I had been waiting for the 16" Penguin to go on clearance, and yay, I got her for $28 on Friday.

Other nifty finds recent and older, but still available at my locations: Funko Rock Candy Marvel figures (female versions); MH Garden Ghouls and budget Comic/Emoji dolls, MH Mega Bloks (older series), DC Superhero Girls - dolls and Lego sets; several playline Barbies, Star Wars Black Series figures, LPS, Bratz.

However, it is hit or miss, depends on what your looking for, and the prices aren't always deeply discounted or consistent. Examples: older Fashionistas are usually still $6.99 and while most Sorcha are priced at $50, one of my locations has one marked at $70 in the clearance section.  I also exchanged the original Golden Dream Barbie I bought because it was $50 where I purchased it, but the other location had several marked $50, but one marked $30. Needless to say, I returned the $50 one and bought the $30 one.  Just something to be aware of as you look around even though I haven't noticed these discrepancies on anything other than the collectible Barbies.

Hope you find some goodies if you go!

Awesome! I've been trying to get my hands on some collector Barbies and older Fashionistas, so it's good to know they carry them. But, wow! I'm shocked that your location still had MH! Now I really have to make a trip there! Thank you! I hope I find some goodies, too. ;)

People have been finding the Fantasy line dolls now at TM. (Mine didn't have any, but it had a few "new" Silkstones that I hadn't seen there before.

Oh, cool! Thank you for the info! :)

I'd have to say Dead Tired Ghoulia, or at least my Ghoulia. I got her back when I was ten or eleven-ish. Recently, I redid her hair out of pure necessity (it had become super messy from years of play), and it bounced back beautifully! I washed and conditioned her hair, then gave it a quick dunk in near-boiling water and voila! Ghoulia's hair is silkier, softer, and shinier than it had even been, ever brand new. The only downside was that the boil-wash made her hair go completely straight, but I think it suits her and it's easier to maintain now.

One thing I noticed while combing her out during the conditioning process is that she hardly lost any hair, so she's well rooted. And although her hair is thinner than some other dolls, I actually prefer it that way because it easier to manage.

Thank you to you both. I really love her already and she has settled in nicely with the gang.  I can't stop brushing her hair and moving her around on the shelf.

Thanks for the Etsy link!!

No problem! And I know what you mean about brushing her hair. It's so soft!

Not a MH doll, but I bought a Beast doll from the Disney store on Tuesday and one of his legs is longer than the other!

I got the Classic Beast and Prince Eric doll at the Disney Store. Then a pair of earrings and some rings at Icing. Also got a phone case there, but I accidentally got the wrong size and it doesn't fit my phone. :|

I've been doing a lot of shopping! ^^;

If anyone is looking for the super dark skinned MTM Barbie, I suggest checking your local Target. Mine had three of her. They also had a lot of Barbie stuff on sale, but unfortunately the Fashionistas, fashion packs, and MTM dolls weren't a part of it.

I found the super dark skinned MTM Barbie at Target and immediately scooped her up. Also got Sia Shells from the Shopkins Shoppies Lil Secrets line.

Monster Discussion / Re: Dolls that were never released :/

Agreed! I think that what bothers me the most about the reboot is not the actual dolls but the swiping of the entire story!!! Ugh...

Same here. The dolls weren't the best, but I still enjoyed a lot of them. But why, oh, why did they have to omit characters and nearly destroy the story line? :annoyed:

Did anyone else's Monster Family Cleo come with a little section of burnt hair? I bought her new and when I unboxed her and combed her hair, I noticed that some of it looks exactly like when you burn doll hair with a flat iron. (Been there, done that. ) Luckily it's on the underside of her head, so I can hide it pretty easily and it doesn't bother me too much. Just curious if this was a common defect or a one off.

That's so weird! My Lagoona from the same line also had two right hands! Luckily I had an extra Lagoona lying around so they swapped hands. I wonder if all of the We R Monster High Lagoonas were released the same way? :wonder:

If you bought her new maybe Mattel will send you free replacement hands? She was released so long ago it's probably way too late for that, but it might be worth a shot to email them.

Ohhhh so it's a "common" flaw for that line then! I don't have any spare Lagoona's but I will definitely try to get one from my local Flea Market. It was a second hand doll... So I don't think Mattel would send me any spare hands, moreover here in Spain customer's service is not half as efficient as in some other places!

That stinks about Spain's lack of customer service! In the US it's pretty hit or miss. Good luck finding a left hand for your Lagoona! :)

If you're looking for clothes for Casta I suggest checking out HauntCoutureAtelier on Etsy. A little bit pricy, but totally worth it, and last I checked they had some stuff that would look awesome on her!

Here's the link to the shop:

Hi, Gaby!

I know what it's like to feel as though you're too old for dolls. I was ten years old when MH came out, so then it wasn't really an issue, but when I started to reach twelve/thirteen years old, I began to feel self-conscious about my doll collection. Luckily, I kept my dolls and now at seventeen years old I have fully embraced my hobby!

But anyways, welcome to the Arena! I hope you have fun here!

Ever After High Discussion / Giving Names and Stories to Backgrounders
« on: February 18, 2019, 12:21:01 PM »
So I got this idea the today while browsing the EAH Wiki. Apparently, they have several pages dedicated to backgrounders and even have pictures of them. I thought it'd be neat to start a thread where we could decide which story they belong to and create names for them.

Everyone can interpret the character differently, so don't be afraid to give your own spin on a backgrounder that's already been mentioned by someone else! ;)

Here's a few I've come up with so far:

Petra Pan, daughter of Peter Pan from Peter Pan.
Sorry but you are not allowed to view spoiler contents.

Pixie Bell, daughter of Tinkerbell, from Peter Pan.

Jamison Hook, daughter of Captain James Hook from Peter Pan.

Winter Snow, daughter of Chione, the snow goddess from Greek mythology.

Lucky O'Greene, daughter of the Leprechaun from Irish folklore.

Jacklyn Horner, daughter of Jack Horner from Little Jack Horner. (Her skirt reminded me of a plum, which Jack Horner pulls out of a pie in the nursery rhyme.)

Prissy Peabody, daughter of the Pea Princess from the Princess and the Pea.
