I'm not convinced these were real mostly because all those characters seem like weird choices for Monster high dolls imo

Ever After High Discussion / Re: Do you think there will ever be a G2 EAH?
« on: September 13, 2020, 05:25:52 PM »
if there ever was a gen 2 of EAH I'd probably buy more dolls than I actually wanted in a desperate attempt to keep the brand alive, so maybe it's for the better gen 2 is very unlikely  ^^;

Monster Discussion / Re: Where are you CURRENTLY buying your MH dolls?

It's luck-based, but I've been getting my dolls at the thrift store   ^^;

I watch on youtube, but judging the watermarks on those episodes I could've been watching season 2 on Family Channel (the Canadian equivalent of Disney Channel), or I could do that if I had cable

So I caught up on most of season 2 today, and while I still don't think this show is that good, it is looking better than season one.

All this cool stuff will be available everywhere but in the USA I'll bet.

Don't worry, they won't show up in Canada either :'D

is anyone else bothered by how in the She-Ra screenshot it looks like the long part of her hair looks disconnected from her head? Maybe it'll look better in motion, but just looking at the still of it is really weird.

Monster Discussion / Re: Ghostly Tea Party

Amazon Canada has place holders for the tea party and howling hoodies line. I hope they come out!

man, I hope so. Canada has been dropping the ball lately with doll releases, or at least western Canada has.

I got some flesh-coloured wool off of amazon because dang-it if they aren't going to release/open pre-orders for the P5 hero Nendoroid, then I will make one myself  :annoyed:

...a softer, less nice, possibly bootleg version but I gotta use my needle-felting skills for something I guess :shrug:

Off Topic / Re: Amazon boycott?
« on: July 11, 2018, 12:00:55 PM »
from what I can tell Amazon workers are striking due to low wages and poor working conditions and are asking the public to boycott Amazon during prime days as a show of support. The strike seems to mostly be taking place in Spain from what I can tell.

Monster Discussion / Re: Positivity for the reboot?

I know it's an unpopular opinion, but I actually prefer Cleo's reboot face to her old one. her eyes seem less like they're wrapping around her head on the newer doll :shrug:

Monster Discussion / Re: When did G1 end for you?

Sometimes I wonder if Mattel heard the term "character based" and thought that meant quantity of characters instead of having a few quality characters people are interested in -_-
Like I kinda get why MH went that route, because there is something interesting about managing to turn a monstrous creature into a cute, but still edgy, character, but then Mattel got too worried about parent reception and the designs jut got boring  :( It may have been better for monster high to just do one doll per character if they wanted to keep adding and adding characters.

I have no idea why they decided EAH warranted 100 characters

I built a magic the gathering commander deck recently, can't wait for them to get delivered so i can finally play against my friends with my own deck. Also I just fully embraced my attachment issues I have with my baby blanket cause I got a laundry bag specifically so it wouldn't get caught on stuff in the wash. I'm 22 :/

i feel a bit overwhelmed by my collection sometimes, but I think that's mostly because I don't have a designed space for them and I had too many to reasonably display in a dorm room, cause I only have like 50 dolls  ^^;

Off Topic / Re: What were they thinking?! toy lines
« on: April 09, 2018, 11:38:50 PM »
The new big eyed beanie babies are a line that I just can't stand. TY you had a perfectly good line of stuffed toys, why did you ruin it by trying to make it "more cute" ugh.

And this isn't so much toy line related, but poop keeps coming up so, can we all just take a moment to be disgusted at how realistic the poop in the Furby Connect app is? Like why would they do that?

Its my 4th year of uni, so I shouldn't be doing this, but I'm playing a lot of Persona 5 \_(ツ)_/

I plan to get back into once I get time, but from what I've seen it looks like it's gotten better than season 1. Wish I could find the toys though; stupid Canada, you and your weird toy terrifs  :annoyed: (no those aren't an actual thing, toys just take forever to get here recently)

Monster Discussion / Re: Do you think that Mh is over with?
« on: November 10, 2017, 11:31:34 PM »
Honestly, I think it is going to go on hiatus in the upcoming months.

I think they will eventually do like MGA did with Bratz, revamp it and bring it back.

Problem is, I don't think we will see those gorgeous playline dolls again.

This seems like the most likely, unfortunately (and kinda fortunately).

I did my presentation, and crying in-front of my entire class aside, it went pretty well.

Huge thanks to everyone who posted here, it was a big help :D

And yes, I admit it... I even play with them. XD Im a giant kid at heart, lol.

No shame in that! I'm sure if i had more time I'd play with mine more too ^^;

I collect for the fun of it. It also gives me a connection to my granddaughters. I have always loved dolls, before my mom past away every Christmas I got a doll. Now I try to do it for my grand daughters. They are getting dolls for Christmas.

That's so sweet! Collecting with family sounds like a really fun time :)
