KittyCourtz: Ah! That makes sense! (The collage part). Sucks, but makes sense.
I do hope you and your therapist find a way to break away from that mind frame, hun *hugs*

KittyCourtz: *hug* I have no idea what to say, Kitty. I get very anxious about my pictures, I never feel like they have the right light/crop, but people see them on flickr and either don't see the issues I do, or I actually take good pictures. What I have found, is that we are super strict with ourselves, to the point of madness.
Could you, maybe, start drawing without planning ahead? Like just doodle and take it from there?

dxgirly: *hug* Hang in there, hun. It gets better.

So I ended up at the ER with this weird panic attack.
I had had a very stressful day before this happened, and I was ready to get into another stressful event when I just broke.
Once out of the hospital, I remembered this thing about finding 5 things to see, 4 things to touch, 3 things to smell to ground yourself when you feel out of control.

After picking some pieces up, I made myself a grounding necklace.

You can't really tell, but they have different textures, along with colors and patterns. No smells, but I think this would work :)

Here's a close up

Sorry but you are not allowed to view spoiler contents.

And now I'm wondering, would anyone be interested on getting one?
Do you think it would help you to keep you grounded?

I am so sorry you are going through this, hun. :(

There's nothing quite as hurtful than family turning against/ignoring you. There are reasons why people get that way, but that's neither here or now, and it's NOT YOUR FAULT (like it has been mentioned before).

After months and months of professional therapy, and years and years of having some one open my eyes to the stuff that happens, I have found that the best thing to do it to be honest.
Brutally honest.

Your mom wants to make plans? Sure! "But try not to make plans with my sister at the same time, ok?" then "Make sure to call me as soon as you make plans with her, not like last time" until you get to "nah, I don't want get in the way of your relationship with her. Bye!"

Your daughter asks if she's seeing her grandma? "Not sure, love, you know how she is..."

It has taken me this long to cut one of my sisters out of my life, because she just can't see what she does wrong. And if you mention it? It was not her fault! NO ONE could have seen that coming! Yadda yadda... She never learns, thus she repeats her mistakes and we are supposed to bail her out.

*hugs* Regardless of what you decide to do, IF you decide to do something, hang in there. It's hard, but it gets better.

It's getting harder to choose, since my faves are out

On the other hand... It took me THIS long to see that every round has a different picture, showing the 4 we are voting for  :sheepish: :sheepish: :haha:

Thank you, Phobos!
The sword is a small prop from some anime collection I bought because it was the perfect size (and it even features a small rose on the hilt), and repainted/added a small crystal. The chest piece is from Darling's Dragon Games stock, combined with her Sig stock shoulderpiece (everything was repainted to match).

They look fantastic! <3 <3 <3

I didn't like dolls either  :haha: :haha:
But it's an awesome and very complete hobbie! It brings joy and makes you want to learn and experiment with different techniques! Photography, sewing, crafting, painting, etc etc etc
True. I've seen so much art being done here, it's awesome!

I finally 'completed' my Darling Charming. Sword, repainted accessories, mix-n-match outfit... she's ready to be someone's knight in shining armour!
Sorry but you are not allowed to view spoiler contents.

The ensemble, and the separate pieces, are just gorgeous!
Did you make the sword from scratch? And the chest piece? <3 <3 <3

Elsa- I have the same problem. This year we celebrate at an ucle's, his wife's mom is coming, along with my other uncle + wife + kids. Hubby is sure my sister (the one I broke all contact with) will also be there. My limit is about 5 people (other than my nuclear family), and there's going to be about 12 of them plus the 5 of us...

Our plan is to arrive a bit early, say hi, and leave as soon as it starts to be too much.

This is supposed to be a time for you to be thankfull, not terrified. You do not need to explain/apologize/suffer for the sake of the family, especially one that does not have your back.

Go say hi, leave and have a day for yourself. *hug*

Hang in there *hug*

just don't overboil the water and he'll be fine
Oh! So just enough to make him confess! Got it!

With Billy, though, I think you'll have to be careful about the shape of the hair. Shorter-haired dolls tend to poof out when boiled, so try rinsing out the gel with tepid or cool water first to see if that works for you.
Yes, I will try this, thank you!

Right! I forgot about a tip!
use clear rubberbands as loose as possible to set the style in place while drying. Loose to avoid them from marking the shape but with enough hold so it stays that way
Rubber bands! Neat idea! Thank you!

Whoa, that new style actually made me sorta want Gilda.
I know, right?
Nassib has a way of dragging us to the dark side... I want Gilda also xD

Thank you for the tips, guys!

Good god I just want the gunk off  :haha: :haha:

Thank you, Nass! I'll head over there. I have no idea about styling, but I do want to make sure I don't ruin him :) *hug*

Whatthe.. you're right! why did I mistake him for a Hunter? It was the hair, I don't know why I thought it was shaved on the side -.-

Billy Donovan is such a cool character! I'm sorry aku, I think I forgot to tell you this when I first told you about MH. If you let them in, they'll will slowly (or fast) take over your house.  <3

I thought the pierced ears were a dead giveaway, but yes, the black and white can be tricky :D
And I can see what you mean by slowly taking over my house... I am the proud owner of a chair. I never liked dolls, and now I have accessories to go with the dolls. And a hand-held sowing machine. I can't go through a store without looking at tiny thing, wondering if they would look good or not.

LOL yeah, specially when he teases and strips hahaha

And yeah, I think that's the most special part about our dolls. They make us happy  <3 <3 <3

I can't show you the most recent photo shoot, since it got WAY out of hand. But yeah! HAPPY!

I have a good idea what I'll do with Donovan (aka" Invisi Billy), I just have not decided about Pahkatos and Luna yet. :)

Yeah, most of his joints are very loose, but I can work around that :)

I'm nervous about washing his hair, though...

Thank you aku!!

He's disgruntled that I dares remove the hands!
Thank You Robina!!!
Now that we are accessories free we can concentrate on finding him a pair of stretchy shorts <3 <3 <3

PS: Yeah, I was really afraid of breaking something

Boy hands come off just like the girl ones do. Jewelry should slide off easily afterwards. :)

Thank you, Robina.
Um... I can't find how to remove the hands of females either
