Monster Discussion / Re: I <3 Fashion Whisp
« on: August 07, 2016, 01:03:37 PM »
I haven't bought dolls in a while, but after poking around here and seeing there was a new Whisp available, I had to cave. I absolutely need my Gigi's sissy <3 even if I'm not totally fond of the clothes. I'm hoping this means that there will be some new Gigi dolls as well, as there haven't been any new ones in a while!

Thank you so much! And happy birthday to my birthday twin Martini!  ^.^

Customs / Re: Has anybody tried to use dye on dolls?

I was actually looking at this the other day, and the results that I saw didn't seem to great. Here, the person got very splotchy results, and here they got more even results but in both, the lower legs didn't take the dye well at all. I'm sure some experimenting could help, and maybe someone else has done more extensive research than these two examples that I have!

I didn't think I could get more excited for her than I already was, but apparently I can! I love her little deer toes, and her dream catcher purse! And I think that her outfit is a romper underneath of the poncho which is freakin' adorable.

I've been buying things for my little brother for his birthday in August. He's turning 11, and so far I've gotten him the Lego Jurassic World 3DS game, an Anger Tsum Tsum from Inside Out, a big Mickey Tsum Tsum, a Mario tee-shirt, and a new case for his iPod~

I'm so sad that I won't be able to get them from a person that's going to SDCC like I thought I was :/ I almost made the rash decision to get them off of Toot's, but I just don't have the money to shell out the $100 when I only want one doll!

If there's anyone that's only getting the set for Valentine, please let me know! That I can handle, it's the full 100 that I couldn't :/

I kept his ponytail but put him in porter and Garrot's outfits. And he's with porter since I think they're cute together  :blush: ^^;
I also painted around neighthan's eyes with slightly watered down black paint. I like around his eyes to be dark, it makes him look more zombie-like imo

He looks amazing! I love him in that leather jacket, and the blackened eyes definitely make him look way more like a zombie!

I finally got around to painting his scarring this weekend. Still need to plan a photoshoot though it may be a while as I wanted an autumn theme.

No worries! I'll still be interested to see him whenever (:

Here's Finnegan!

I just got done looking at the post on tumblr, haha. I love it! I agree that locks are more fitting for a character like her. If/when I ever get Neighthan, I want to give him some locks and will definitely have to try this out for him so I don't have to worry about finding someone to reroot! Thank you for showing that it can be done (:

I just realized that Posea is related to A. C. Cupid :o

And to Deuce...

I just realized that Posiedon could have been Deuce's father! :o
Wait... what?

Poseidon is not related to Medusa in any myth I know of... I mean, if anything, Posea is the daughter of Deuce's mom "ex" (I mean, depending on how much PG they try to keep the myths)

I also just realized that FF was somewhat succesful, as they have already have an spin off based on the idea of Avea, and this new movie based on the idea of Sirena. Either Bonita wasn't as good a seller, or next we'll have some movie with winged insectoids (Gettin' Insected)... Butterflies, moths, bees, flying scorpions....

Isn't that how she became a gorgon? She got busy with Poseidon in Athena's shrine so Athena turned her in to a gorgon.

Edit: If anyone saw, I accidentally said Zeus when I meant Poseidon. Changed it now~

I'm super disappointed in these dolls. They're just so... blah. Not cute at all in my mind. The only one I can kind of like is Meowlody, but even then it's just a bit giant nope for me. Which is a huge shame! I don't like being disappointed by MH ):

I'm absolutely in love with these, especially Harelow and Deerla. They're adorable, and the potential lack of articulation doesn't really bother me (though I do with there were knee joints because they'll probably be best displayed sitting on my shelf because they're probably smaller). My only complaints would be that I wish Harelow's ears and Deerla's ears/antlers matched a bit and weren't just silver/gold.

Looks like we'll be seeing some more of these little gals. I like the deer one. I will commit now to buying that one for sure.

I agree 100%, Fawntine is ADORABLE and I'll absolutely be buying her at least.

I've resisted EAH successfully... until now. I need Darling and Holly so badly, it's not even funny. I hope they do more Dragons though! It's a little lame to have it be a whole Dragon related line but... one dragon.

I'm DYING. I'm not really a fan of EAH but there are definitely some of these that I love! And I actually think the Pixie Chicks are adorable.

If they do things like last year:

On preview night those who pre-ordered get to pick their's up first.  Whatever is left over goes on sale on a first-come-first-serve basis starting the following morning (the first official day of the con).

And yes, it should be at the Mattel booth.

Is that correct?  I think it is. lol

Thank you! I figured it was something along these lines. Fingers crossed I can get them!

I MIGHT know someone that's going to SDCC. It's not certain, but I really hope so and that they can maybe pick these dolls up for me. Does anyone know if there's specific days they go for sale, or do they start for sale on the first day and then it's first come, first serve after that? I tried looking but didn't see any info about that specifically. And is it just at the Mattel booth or somewhere else that they're sold?

OMG CLAWESOME  I'm totally stealing this and making it my FB avatar  (unless you object)

Well it's not my picture, but you can def shoot a message to the person that made it (I linked it right below the photo) and ask them and make sure it's okay!

I wasn't sure if I'd see the day it happened, honestly! Of course it's just common sense (or should be), but with some of the people in charge I was sure it would be nearly impossible. I'm so happy I was wrong!
