Customs / Re: Mysterious blue stain help

I can't view the pictures, but I'd suggest using the benzoyl peroxide and sunlight/uv-light method. You can pick up 10% benzoyl peroxide cream at the store in the acne treatment aisle. Put the cream on the stain and then leave the doll in the sun or under a UV-light. It may take a few days, but I've removed even the most stubborn sharpie stains this way.

Has anyone tried filling in the hair-holes left from Raven's widow's peak? Super glue, latex, wood filler, perhaps?

As a very last resort instead of chucking the head, you could try carefully cutting a hole in the top of the head, pulling the peg out, and then gluing the head piece back into place.

Putting a flashlight against the head can help you see the exact orientation of the neck peg. :)

She looks great! You did a wonderful job on her outfit, especially those shoes. And I'm really loving her faceup. All in all, a top notch custom!

Are any EAH dolls a match to Hasbro Disney Princess Pocahontas? Maybe Rosabella Beauty?
Also how close of a match are Cleo and Signature Nefera? Thank you!!!

Brags / Sendra's Finds
« on: February 01, 2018, 09:28:14 PM »
I've thought for a long time about posting here, and I may play catch up with some of my older hauls, but tonight I knew I had to start up my own brag thread. By chance I went to tonight... and found Spring Unsprung Kitty Cheshire. I got her for $12 with free shipping!

I feel UV light (sunlight or UV lamp) is super important to the stain removal process. I have a doll that got some sharpie stains on her during a hair dyeing experiment so I decided to use her for another experiment. I tried using just benzoyl peroxide on a stain for a few days and saw little change, but when I used the cream on another stain with my UV lamp the stain faded drastically within 8 hours.

Customs / Re: Swapping CAM Parts - Male and Female

I'm planning on carving it down slightly and then patching any holes and building it to shape with apoxie sculpt. I still want him to have the knee joint which is why I'm going to use the female CAM leg as a base. :)

Customs / Swapping CAM Parts - Male and Female
« on: January 23, 2018, 06:09:39 PM »
I'm looking to turn my CAM Male Vampire into Junkrat, but he needs a thinner leg I can mod into his peg leg. I figured a female CAM leg would be perfect... but I need to know if the pegs between the male and female CAM parts are the same?

Thanks for your replies everyone! I guess I will go for Jane then, just try to blush her a little lighter. :)

Customs / Faybelle's Skin Color Clarification
« on: January 14, 2018, 02:54:28 PM »
Pictures of Faybelle seem to show a range of skin colors, so I'm not sure exactly what her true skin color is. Some show it as blue grey, some more purple... Can anyone clarify her skin tone for me? I'm hoping she's a decent skin-tone match for Widowmaker from Overwatch since Jane Boolittle is far too purple.

Oh my! Your customs are absolutely gorgeous! The details on the outfits are amazing! The metal bikini shows great wire work, too. :D

Kara, that is super helpful information, thank you! I've been stalking this thread hoping that someone would give a detailed explanation and you've certainly done that. I have a few questions though: Krylon has a few different plastic primer sprays, which one specifically do you use? And when you say "take the body apart as much as I can" do you mean you actually take off the arms and legs? How is that done without breaking the doll? Thanks!
