Customs / Re: Neck peg stuck in Barbie head

Hmm.  Is there any way that you can still use the head but leave the neck peg inside?

I wish, but unfortunately a new body's peg won't fit correctly with this one stuck in there.

As a very last resort instead of chucking the head, you could try carefully cutting a hole in the top of the head, pulling the peg out, and then gluing the head piece back into place.

This is a great idea! Along the same lines, I wonder if I could slit the neck to widen the hole and pull the peg out. This way I don't have to damage the hair (I'm not rerooting this doll.) I have Liquid Fusion so any tears can be fixed... Hmm.

Thanks so much, everyone, for your advice.  <3 I'll give this a shot later and let you guys know how it goes, okay? Thanks again!

Update: I've been at this for half an hour now and my hands are cramping up, but this thing will not come out. I'm heating the head, and I've tried every pair of tweezers and pliers in the house, and I can't get it out. If anyone has a last resort, please tell me now before I chuck the head.  :annoyed:

I was attempting to rebody a Barbie onto an articulated Fashionista body, but when I tugged on the warmed head, the neck peg broke off and was forced into the head. It's a long peg similar to Monster High so it's not floating, but rather it's stuck lengthwise. I've already tried grabbing the peg with pliers, but the neck hole is a bit smaller than the disk so I can't get a good grip. Can you guys help me with this situation? Or should I just trash the doll?

Does anyone here play Pokemon Sun/Moon/Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon?  The guy at Gamestop gave me a paper with a code on it for either Palkia or Dialga depending on the game you have, only one code can be used per game.  I don't have any of those games, and I don't want it to go to waste.

I play Sun and Moon, but I thought the events were over for those games because of the release of USUM? So this is a curious situation. I am interested though!

Day 46

Ghouls Rule Lala

She is so beautiful!  :inlove: Are her wings part of that collar/corset piece or are they separate?

Scored G1 Signature Draculaura at Goodwill. She had her top with real buttons, skirt, and earrings. She also had super loose elastic hips. I cleaned her up and rebodied her onto Creepataria Drac's plastic-hipped body. Now she's as good as gold... And she only cost $3.95!

And I'm done too!  This is a neat idea that would have exactly piqued my interest as a kid.

I might buy all the dolls if they aren't too pricey because those accessories are adorable!

... Okay, I'm at least going to get Apple because the stacked tea pots and the extra outfit are so cute.  <3

I thought I'd mention Skulltimate Science Class Frankie also has molded/raised stitches:

Sorry but you are not allowed to view spoiler contents.

However, neither of these Frankies have wrist articulation.

Does anyone know if Kitty Cheshire is a match for Avea? I don't have Kitty, so I can't compare...

I have WtW Kitty Cheshire, but not Avea.   ^^; However, I do own DC Operetta, and she is slightly pinker than my Kitty. I could get away with a handswap, but a body swap would be slightly off.

This comparison shot by Nassib may help you:

Thanks so much for correcting me!  :blush: I completely forgot that line was a thing. It's a fabulous line though... I wouldn't mind collecting it.  ^^;

Yeah, this is her Gen 1 Signature doll. Here's the amazon link to the Signature 2-pack so you can see for yourself (observe her makeup and the pants):

For Christmas, my sister gave me my holy grail, Way Too Wonderland Kitty Cheshire! :hearts: I immediately unboxed her and have been loving her ever since. Thanks so much to my sister!

I've unboxed all my dolls so far but I definitely felt this with Heartstruck Cupid. I had a bit of a delay in opening her because I went out of town. And when I got home, she just looked so elegant in her box...  ^^;  I did remove her eventually though, and even restyled her. I don't regret it.

Scored Shriekwrecked Dayna for $5.98 at Toys R US. She's a Christmas present to me.

Clawdeen's Closet / Re: Shoezies 'finger shoes' as doll footwear?
« on: December 20, 2017, 02:20:07 PM »
I decided to go ahead and bid on an almost complete Disney Shoezies lot (it's just missing Cinderella's shoes) and won for the minimum bid, so I'll be trying them on all my dolls. I'm hoping they'll work ok on Obitsu feet. But I figure even if they don't fit any of my dolls well enough, they're cute enough to just display on their own.

Ooh, how exciting! I'd like to see pictures of these on doll feet once you receive them.

Customs / Re: Liquid Fusion scent?
« on: December 20, 2017, 07:32:22 AM »
Liquid Fusion does have a scent.
Now the bottle does say that it can be used indoors and it doesn't bare any warnings about using only in well-ventilated areas, so I don't believe that it gives off toxic fumes.  However, I do use this product in my bathroom with the fan on, just in case.

I understand. Using it in the bathroom with the fan on is a great idea! Next time, I'll use it with proper ventilation. Thanks so much for answering my questions!  :hugs:

Customs / Liquid Fusion scent?
« on: December 19, 2017, 03:52:36 PM »
I have a doll whom I plan on rerooting, but her part ripped during the hair removal process. Last night I added a coat of Liquid Fusion to the ripped part and have since been letting it dry. I wore a mask and gloves, and I did not notice any scent (although I also have a cold  :annoyed: ).

However, this morning my father told me the dining room (which is where I used the LF) smells of "glue." So the question is, does Liquid Fusion have a scent? If so, should I have used it outside to avoid fumes? Let me know please so I can stop concerning myself.  ^^;

I want a new doll of course! I've been wanting WtW Kitty Cheshire for years now... And someone let it slip that they bought her for me.  ;) So basically, can Christmas hurry up?
