Clawdeen's Closet / Sissy Sews!
« on: June 11, 2015, 11:00:52 PM »
I consider myself good at sewing. I hate hand sewing, but I do it all the time. On normal-sized things - not doll-sized things. So while I'm super happy with what I've made, It's definitely not perfect in any way.

I've had my Skeleton Girl Ulna for years, with the intention of getting her a super cool leather jacket one day, but I never did. So she sat on the shelf in the Skeleton Girl dress, until tonight I had enough of it - and made this instead! Excuse the photos, I'm not a photographer at all

A cute little top/dress and jacket!

I plan to make her a pair of black leggings to cover the fact that her thighs aren't skeletal, but those will wait for a bit (until I have some more patience...) The best part, though, is what the jacket is made from...

The Skeleton Girl Dress! I altered it until it was to my liking, and it's just what I wanted for her!

I had a toy that I LOVED when I was little, and I'm trying to look it up but can't find it for the life of me. It was a set of little tiny dolls, and I believe they were fairy babies (similar to Fairy Winkles but from what I can see, it wasn't one of them). The babies were scented and they all came in a decent sized house that looked like a green teapot. It was probably the size of an actual teapot. Everything was very floral and nature-themed, and I think the exterior of the teapot had vines and whatnot on it. I seem to remember that they came with a momma fairy too but I can't be certain. I have no clue if this was from a bigger brand or just a little one, but I know my cousin and I both had them.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you!

I love that Neighthan has long hair, and while I don't own him myself (I've been out of Monster High for a while now while saving money), I'd love to see him with his hair down, or styled differently. I think he'd look amazing with dreads honestly - has anyone done this?

Monster Discussion / PC on a variety of dolls!

I need to downsize some of my dolls and would like to see what prices are best to sell these at. All are out of box but should have all their items except some of the hairbrushes and will check to make sure when I'm actually posting their listings. Dolls like Nefera and Howleen have their notebooks as well. They're all in great quality because they've sat on my display shelf since I got them.

Skull Shores Clawdeen, Draculaura (all her bangs are still there, just slicked back and to the side with a ton of hairspray), and Cleo from the Target five-pack

Clawdeen and Howleen Wolf Sisters

Operetta Dance Class

Frankie Stein Ghouls Rule. Both the pumpkin and that cauldron came with her, correct?

Nefera - signature, I believe?

Trader Support / Price Checking?
« on: August 24, 2014, 12:51:03 PM »
Hi there! I'm looking to sell some dolls and want to make sure that I sell them at a price that doesn't rip off either me or buyers. Is there a place to price check, or do I just ask here? I didn't see any posts about it when I checked, so I just wanted to check and make sure. Thank you!

EDIT: I didn't expect it to be in the General Discussion, but saw it as I was poking around. Sorry for the now unneeded post here!

Customs / Painting MH Shoes?
« on: July 21, 2013, 02:17:12 PM »
I tried looking but couldn't find any tips for painting shoes for dolls. The shoes that came with the CAM Skeleton are white, and I think it looks weird with her white legs so I'd like to paint them black. What would be the best way to do this, and what kind of paint? Thank you!

Brags / My wish came true -- I found Gigi!
« on: July 20, 2013, 12:58:40 PM »
Just yesterday I realized that I /needed/ Gigi, after seeing photos of her with her hair down. While out and about with my mom, we stopped at Target then Toys R Us to look for her, and while Target didn't have anything new, TRU had the 13 Wishes dolls, and my mom found Gigi stuffed behind some others. I quickly snatched her and was so happy to see that her features were literally perfect, and I couldn't find a spot of paint that was wrong. As soon as I got her out of the box, I took out her scorpion tail hairdo, and was happy juts leaving it in the high ponytail - I think she looks so much like I Dream of Jeanie now.

Her hair was still a little damp here, it was not long after I'd boil permed is straight. It needs a bit of a trim at the back and something to cover the hair elastic, but I'm so in love with her!

Introductions! / Hello there!
« on: July 19, 2013, 04:11:53 PM »
My name is Spencer (I'm a girl!), and I'm 19 and absolutely obsessed with Monster High. It all started when I saw Robecca Steam and convinced my mom to stop at a Toys R Us one afternoon to see if she was out -- and she was, and that was the start to my obsession! That was almost a year ago now, and for a while I was getting new dolls almost every week but I've slowed down a bit in buying them since I'm a college student and have to focus my money elsewhere (plus I have a few other obsessions, so I have to pick and choose which one I want to fulfill. Plus, I've run out of room on my designated shelves for them, so I have no where to put any until I sort that out!

I'm so happy that MH has gotten their own arena separate from MLP - it'll be so much easier to find different posts now!
