Monster Discussion / Re: FAVORITES FACE OFF! FINAL ROUND!

Can't believe Skelita made it this far...she is my favorite due to me growing up so close to Mexico and celebrating Dia de Los Muertos with my friends every year - great childhood memories.

Braved Target today and the MH area was just as packed, with the exact same merchandise that was there a week ago. The rest of the toy section looked barren, but it was fully stocked.

So terrible I am stepping away from Monster High completely. Quite sad, as I enjoyed the line for so long, but to change so much...nope, I'm done.

You can do what I'm doing...just focus on the old line (unless you have every doll ever made).  You can appreciate Monster High for what it was....watching the movies, etc and buying new dolls you don't have from the old line.  I frequent amazon. ;)

I already have everything I want from the old line, save the SDCC Robecca set. My focus has been on other things lately so this is probably good timing. I do still enjoy the old movies and episodes.

Collector Skelita and that's it. Not thrilled at all with the reboot and stepping away unless they come out with new Skelita and Robeccas.

It's all been shelf warmers for over a year at stores around here. I remember when shelves would be bare. Now they linger, even on sale.

Bonita Femur was born from her skeleton mother and her Mothman father. I'm a step closer to deciding that the stork brought them all so I can stop worrying

I'm personally more confused on how a zombie and a unicorn managed to procreate, to be honest...

Monster Discussion / Re: SDCC Monster High Exclusives

I love Robecca's outfit but not sure of the shiny finish. I'll wait for real photos of her before going on evilBay to get my own set. This is the first time I've ever wanted an SDCC set, so I don't feel so bad paying those prices.

I used to have a huge wish list. But we had a money incident come up that stopped me buying for several months. By the time I was free to buy again, I didn't want any of the 30+ dolls on my list. I had lost all interest. So I stopped buying as soon as things came out and I give myself a few months to think it over. Now I can truly enjoy my collection with much less.

I sold a large chunk of my collection because I ran out of room 10 times over. I now only collect all the Skelitas and have sig Robecca and a half dozen other random dolls. It's also made dusting easier.

I've actually just cleaned out a lot of my many collections and have gone to only the items I really love and could not give up. My house no longer feels so cramped and busy, it's peaceful to come home to.

No, except I did switch the outfits on Art Class and Scaritage Skelitas, because they just look better in each other's outfits.

Monster Discussion / Ghouls' Getaway Target Exclusives?
« on: January 10, 2016, 11:35:05 PM »
I saw an Elissabat and Jane today in the Ghouls' Getaway attire today at Target. I have not heard about these two. Did I miss the information about them somewhere?

Loving Jane's hair and lips.

Plus, this is not a new way of thinking for Mattel. Starting out with something cute and well detailed, then seeing it lose detail and quality over time is not unusual to Barbie collectors. :(

Us American Girl collectors have been watching a steady decline for years now.

This really makes me sad. Now that I am employed again and can spend money, I am coming back to this news. Looks like I am done with Monster High for good.

I'm about to hit 30 days - not by choice but by none of my local stores every bothering to stock. Not a Scarnival to be seen, and barely any of the other newer dolls.

Monster Discussion / Re: Does everyone hate Frankie
« on: August 28, 2015, 10:32:45 PM »
I like Frankie because she's still pretty new to the world and not jaded like I am. But I'm also a big fan of Anna from Frozen whose the same type of personality.

However, I do wish she was not the star of all these movies because I'd love to see others as the star as well.

That Skelita is a skeleton with proper proportions, and wasn't altered for clothes to fit better. I was surprised and impressed.
