Ever After High Discussion / Re: EAH hands
« on: July 06, 2018, 06:51:12 PM »
Most dolls have regular hands EXCEPT:
All the Wonderland girls have gloved hands except Getting Fairest Maddie
All the Hat-tastic Tea Party dolls
All except Cupid in the Thronecoming line have gloves and matching colored arms.

Most EAH dolls have detachable hands but budget dolls do not;also some lines like Birthday Ball the first release had articulated arms/hands but the 2nd have non-articulated. Some dolls in the past couple years have had removable forearms and hands.

Hope this helps!

New dolls up

Wait, I thought Justine was released just the once? I know some dolls had the first release and then a more budget-y version with less accessories but I didn't think she was one.

At  any rate I got mine when she first came out and she has a close lipped smile.

Ever After High Discussion / Holes in the feet??

I pulled off my Nina's shoes for something and found this:

I bought her new off Amazon but it looks like someone drilled them! BB Duchess has a faint hole in on foot (bought off Amazon the same time ironically) but I've yet to see it on any others. This happen to anyone else? I don't really care as she keeps her shoes on but it's just weird...

I was wondering if you were ever going to make your Bunny Lapin!! She's hands down my favorite but I do love the Coral Witch's hair, both the color AND the style:)

I also did the Justine's bodice with Rosabella's skirt thing, it looks so pretty! I meant it for Justine but Mousecedes ended up with it instead...

Squee! Dark Crystal was one of my favorite movies as a kid (huge Henson fan) and these guys are so perfect!!! I'm so glad you made Fizgig too:)

Monster Discussion / Re: The ones who didn't make it!

I would've loved Grimmily Ann, Quill, Fawn, Pharoh, unicorn girl and faun/satyr boy.

... Sadly and according to Garrett he was planned and designed, he would have been released along with Catty in a couple's pack. But then executives decided against it and he was canceled while that Catty was shoved into a 3pack with Draculaura and Clawdeen
I wondered why he didn't have a doll! So they did two versions of the three new girls but they decided against one of the main characters of the movie. Morons. (this is nothing against the new ghouls but I would've been fine with one version if it meant we'd have Pharoh )

As for Bram and Gory I think Mattel was like "Welp, we have the two vampire CAMS, that'll do."

I use Requiem's method (taken directly from her site)

Quote
For this you will need:
A bowl
Vinegar
Water
Salt

Pour 1/4 cup of vinegar and 1tsp of salt into a bowl with approx 4 cups water. Drop in the articles of doll clothing. Swish ’em around a little bit until they are thoroughly saturated with the mix and let them sit for about 30 mins.

Take them out, rinse them with water and a little bit of soap (hand soap will do) in the sink. Let air dry.

For heavily saturated/dyed etc items I will leave it in longer, like an hour. Works for me:)

Off Topic / Re: What were they thinking?! toy lines
« on: April 05, 2018, 01:00:26 PM »
^This. A thousand times this.

Also Flushies (along the same lines as Poopeez) and a Pull My finger game. *head desk*

I'm also very confused by the game Pieface, why is this a popular toy? It's just a lame attempt at a toy.

Clone: I'm sorry about your job:( Hope you have an easy time finding another!

I worked at one waaay back 2001-2002 and even then it was struggling. People preferred going to Walmart or Target where they could get groceries, dog food and the current popular toy instead of having to make an additional stop. I will say it was nice being able to buy from them online with Paypal, I think they were one of the first "regular" stores to do that?

Sigh. I never did get to go to the Times Square one...

Monster Discussion / Re: The ghouls and pants/jeans
« on: March 13, 2018, 11:19:45 AM »
Thanks everyone:) I guess I was more surprised that there weren't more pants options considering the sheer number of dolls made. I don't know why I didn't think of other doll clothing, I should have something in my Dal/Bratz/Skipper size clothing that should fit! As for making/altering stuff I can do it, I'm just lazy

Monster Discussion / The ghouls and pants/jeans
« on: March 12, 2018, 06:55:50 AM »
While trying to find a pair of pants for one of my Howleens I got thinking that very few of the girls wore pants and most of those are leggings. Denim is almost non existent in the MH Ghoul wardrobe; off the top of my head the only ones I could think of was Operetta's capris and Sig Howleen's overall shorts. They do make really thin jean looking material (I have some for Pullip clothes) and jeans are like a staple to anyone's wardrobe so why was Mattel so averse to using it?

Sigh. Guess I have to make Howleen some jeans *grumble grumble*
