We still haven't even had Cedar released here yet! I'M DYING OVER HERE, MATTEL. LET ME THROW MY MONEY AT YOU!

Monster Discussion / Re: How do you display?

This is my tiny collection thus far. I need to find a better way to display them, to be honest. Thinking about investing in some new shelving in a few months...

(Sorry for sucky camera phone shot!)

I need Avea and Sirena in my life! They're not here in the UK yet, but if they don't show up in store soon they appear to be lined up for release on Amazon for the 30th June. How handy, just after payday :)

You make a good point Zapper, scalpers ruin it for everyone.

I am just ready for some new dolls to be put on the shelves!  Went to Target today and same ole same ole.  I am going to squeal with glee the day I walk in and find the LD Wave 2 and the HT dolls.  I would grab LD Maddie and HT Cerise up in a heart beat! ohhh or the O'Hair Twins

You and me both! It's been slim pickings here since January!

SDCC Cerise looks really lovely, but she's not screaming 'BUY ME!' to me. Which is good, as I will never be able to afford her, lol!

There's a lot of foot stomping on Facebook and Instagram over her, 'IT'S NOT FAIR! I CAN'T GO TO SDCC BUT I WAAANT HER!' Um, isn't that the point of an exclusive? I mean, I'd be rather narked if I'd fallen in love with her as I'm in the UK and not very likely to go myself, but no one's entitled to her!

I'm not demeaning anyone here, I know a few of you guys are disappointed you won't be able to get her, but there's a difference between disappointment and full on tantrum throwing. Sigh. She's lovely, but at the end of the day she is just a doll!

Quick heads up to anyone in the UK, The Storybook of Legends is in Sainsbury's for 2.99. I didn't even know you could buy a hard copy, in my head it was ebook only for some reason. It was a pleasant surprise!

I picked up Ghoul's Night Out Rochelle Goyle today. I checked out the toy section at the supermarket and she was there,   so I grabbed her! She's really cute. My MH collection has expanded to three dolls, lol.

Oddly enough my only current impulse buys are my DDG Operetta and Skelita! I hit up Toys R Us looking for Once Upon a Zombie dolls, but they didn't have the ones I wanted. The pony selection sucked and I had all the EAH girls on offer already, so I picked them up! I regret nothing...

I've always loved writing until I hit my mid twenties. I've scrawled pages and pages of stuff, but nothing I'm really happy with, as such. I want to write a novel but I have no confidence! :(

I'm also super excited about the LD wave 2 dolls, they're all gorgeous! Oh, and I'll need the Hat Tastic girls too. Even Maddie. Especially Maddie, even though I certainly don't have room for the playset...

Good thing I start a new job next month and can start saving for pretty dolls, huh?

More LD's have been found.

He says he saw Cerise and Ashlynn as well.

He found them in Canada!

AAAAAH I NEED HER! I need the LD Ashlynn too!

Shame I'm in the UK and I haven't even seen Cedar in stores yet. Looks like I'll be relying on Amazon and the kind folks here to get them into my grubby paws...

I have to agree about the cage skirt, SOMEONE needs to be given that! I would buy that doll in a heartbeat.

*Slides into conversation, having been lurking since forever*

I really can't decide if I like these girls or not. With the other dolls, I either fell in love with them instantly or decided I didn't like them on the spot. These two, though... I don't know! I think I'll have to wait till I see them in person and decide.

I've never got a lot of stick over my collecting. My mum likened it to hoarding as we were watching one of those 'Hoarder's style shows, but I reminded her that if I can pay all my bills and they're not taking over my house, it's a collection, not a hoard! I do go through my collection regularly and if I don't love an item enough, I'll sell it to another collector who'll love it more :).

I have a friend who collects all sorts of toys, including MH, and I was texting him when I was tempted by EAH and he was just like, 'Oh, give in!' I have friends who collect all sorts (Lego, shoes, clothes, etc), so no one really bothers me. It's just, 'Oh, that's Water_fire with her ponies and her dolls!' I think it's really because I don't care who knows. If anyone comes over to our place, I'm all 'DO YOU WANT TO LOOK AT MY TOOOOOYS?!' Lol.

Anyone who gives you side eye for collecting MH needs to worry more about their own life than anybody else's.

Monster Discussion / Re: How did you find Monster High?
« on: April 23, 2014, 02:18:15 AM »
I've been eyeing Monster High for probably a year now. I've collected MLP since forever, and I'd see them in stores and think, 'I love the concept, but I'll pass right now.' Then I got into the EAH line, then I was in TRU looking for Once Upon a Zombie dolls. They didn't have the ones I wanted, but I was adamant I was going home with toys since I'd come all the way out. I ended up picking up Skelita and Operetta and now I'm in love. Why did I leave it so long?

I'm new too!

I've been collecting MLP for a decade, but I found myself drawn to the EAH girls, and when I had a few of them I was sniffing around the MH section at TRU and ended up coming home with Skelita and DDG Operetta! My wallet is not going to be happy, is it?

Hi guys!

I'm Waterfire, I'm actually on the MLP Arena too. I've been stalking the forums for months after the Ever After High girls came out. Yesterday I bought my first MH girls, Skelita and DDG Operetta. I'm hooked. Send help.
