Boyfriend gave me Scarah & Hoodude for my birthday!

 :woot: :green: :freak:

:hearts:  Wow!  :green:

I know! Seriously thought I'd never be able to find them. And was actually at peace as I<3F Scarah is pretty cute.
And I have an awesome Hoodude pattern that I have already  cut and just waiting to be sew (waiting in my projects box like for the last 4-5 years), but I'm so happy he found them!

What overwhelms me is mostly the idea of cleaning them.
I have now idea how they manage to collect so much dust and it's a pain to see them all dirty while on display.
But if I take them all down for a cleaning session, it would be like the activity for the weekend and I get tired just planning it. ^^;

Happy belated birthday to the four of you  :green: :green:

Day 264

Today is the World Gratitude Day. I have a lot of things I'm grateful for, like being alive, having fully functional limbs, being able to see, hear, think (although that one tends to get crooked sometimes ), living near my family in area with breathable air, stuff like that.

I was thinking how to express that in dolly way, and I decided to take a pic of Eteri (Eos) and Rebecca (Aurora), because when I got into Pullips, the dolls I wanted the most were Aurora, Lunatic Queen, Eos and Wilhelmina. LQ and Wilhelmina were still available at that time, but I thought it would take ages to get Aurora and Eos. But ta-daaah, here I am, having my 'impossible' grails with me, so I thought they would make for a good gratitude photo.

So I put them into tent, got hungry, made myself dinner, and when I went back to finally arrange the dolls and take the photo, this was there, and I thought it was absolutely perfect, considering today's theme. So it's not a pretty studio-like photo, but still a perfect Gratitude Day pic

Sorry but you are not allowed to view spoiler contents.

beautiful picture with beautiful meaning  <3

Pretty sure MH is dead too, even if they won't admit it.
Standard Operating Procedure in the business world, sadly- pretend things are going JUST FINE until you quietly kill a once-successful line and tell everyone you're "restructuring/revamping" it. It's like how when things are "on hiatus" and they're actually just dead.

This is actually what I don't like. Why tell us that MH is alive and kicking when we all know is about as gone as EAH?

Day 257

The more I see this doll redress, the more beautiful she looks. Her original stock just didn't do her justice.
Beautiful picture!

Day 252

It's Wonderful Wierdos Day! I'm celebrating it with bunch of most wonderful weirdos, remembering the first and imho the best slogan of MH: Freaky Just Got Fabulous!
And a photo without filter:

The beginning of my favorite franchise of all times

nassib, is the SDCC Frankie you mentioned the one in the swimsuit & bob haircut? Or something else?

No, that's b/w Skull Shores Frankie
I'm talking about this beauty

Ghouls Alive Robecca was only available in Mexico and Europe I think.

The hard to find now would be signature Ghoulia, Lagoona, Nefera, Toralei
ILF Cleo and Venus, CB Venus (I only saw her once here), some store exclusives

And of course the hardest to find at a reasonable price would be black and white SDCC Frankie.

Really love the idea
I might not be able to join every challenge, but I'd love to participate as frequently as I can.

Yeah I think we all knew this for a long while now.  Nice to see them finally acknowledge it.

I am surprised Monster High is still going on. I havenít seen any product anywhere...

Exactly.  "Product is still available at retailers nationwide."  Meaning that dolls which are already released are still for sale in whatever stores still have stock.  But not an acknowledgement that they're still designing or producing anything new.

I fear that they're doing the same thing here as they did with EAH: insisting that the line isn't cancelled while they've simultaneously stopped actively working on the brand. :(

^This!

I rather they accept and be honest about the reality of the line than give false hope.

It saddens me of course, we knew for a while and had already accepted that EAH was done, but an official announcement was needed and now that it came it is still sad. And a reminder as how the line was born, its high and shining moment and it's fall that I still think it was due to error after error on distribution, bad decisions, cutting costs etc
I can't blame the price when I keep seeing descendants which was the same concept and used to think EAH was a more clever approach.
I'm deciding what additional dollies I should get before considering my collection complete. Still deciding about Nina, Jillian and Melody, but gotta make that decision fast before they are gone forever

I think Silvi is one of the nice dolls from the reboot. I'm not a fan of her clothes, but her face is adorable!
It's a cute picture of her. I just love MH props!

Awesome Bumblebee!

Outside photos are postponed again due to awful weather. It's that invisible drizzle that totally lacks the beauty of the true rain, but leaves everything damp (and makes my hair frizz).

Mr. Morgenstern and the Steam Babes! This is my current steampunk squad. Next time I add to it, they won't fit into photo-tent anymore. At least not in a way that would allow to take nice photos without showing the tent itself.
what a beautiful picture
I love your dollies' style

So here's my set. The tent is 80cm cube and I use continuous studio lights, because flash lights trigger my migraines. I have light diffuser permanently attached on one light. Lights are usually placed farther from the tent, but it wouldn't fit into shot.

thanks for sharing it. It's amazing the impact of a set of light and props can make in a picture

You have an awesome setup Neon!

Lovely picture Nina! I really like Clawdia and the vibe of direction and goals achievement she gives.

Nassib- Diana's feet are much bigger than Barbie's. They are almost the same size as the DC Super Hero girls feet.

:dropjaw: That's interesting! I definitely didn't expect that!

@Neon
Mira's dress is one of my favorites. I don't know if it's the black and white combined with the Lolita style but it's simply beautiful!

I'm really liking your EAH pictures <3

@Nina
Are Diana's feet not similar to Barbie's?
Cute picture, although your centaurs' heard takes the price <3

Clawdeen's Closet / Re: Using glue to make doll clothes - good or bad?
« on: August 11, 2018, 11:04:28 AM »
I think hot glue might work great for shoes or plastic accessories, but clothes/fabric, not so much.
As Requiem said, it's useful in clothes but just for specific cases.
