Avalanche!

 :haha: :haha:

@Nina
Luna is another wonderful creation on this line! Her trail is amazing!
Your picture is beautiful!

@Neon
Congratulations!
I'm not a fan of Pullips because of the proportion of their heads against their bodies, but wow! The details on their clothes and their beautiful hair always wow me away. Lovely picture!

Regarding the similarities between Abe and the Asset, also keep in mind that the director is the same. And he was "released" from Hellboy 3, but still wanted to develop stories for some of the characters. Abe might probably be an unofficial descendant of the Asset
This theory was refused by the actor of the characters (he played them both, actually), who explained that they are not related and that story-wise Asset is a completely new character.
Further, Del Torro did not create Abe, only his specific design as he appeared in the movies and in later comics, otherwise Abe also appeared in comics prior to the movies.

And even if designed  by the same director, that doesn't change the fact that they are a nice example of two characters inspired by the same monster but having different designs. :)

It's Del Toro. Only one r.
And yes, I'm familiar with the BPRD Comic books and Hellboy comic books :)
And I didn't mean they were directly related nor in the same universe story. I meant that since the director could not continue working with the Hellboy universe, he developed another one with a similar creature.

OMG! I want a lilac one! 117 is an awesome price!
I almost never go to Bodega here because they only have stores in areas far from my house, but for 117 it will definitely be worth the trip
Congratulations!
Nonononoooo, it was at Soriana that I got her!
I don't want to get your hopes up, because in one of my Sorianas was at that price, while at another was only 50% off

Oh!
good to know :)
I hope there's still something available on the first of march (I believe the discounts are only for February) because I'm broke until then any way -.-

@Neon
What a striking beauty. I've been on the fence with G2 Abbey, but if I ever get one, it would be this! The dark blue lipstick is the strength that pulls her new face together in a beautiful way :)

@Nina
Glad to know you are ok. Take care and don't rush it. Some injuries take longer to heal.
Awesome comeback pictures! The Powerghoul line is one of my favorites. I don't like G2 having superpowers but I think the reason is not because they have them, but because they are not superheros in costume while using them haha
Great display!
And the release of ILF Wydowna was the best that could happen, because we could play with this awesome design without fear of ruining a SDCC doll  ^^;
Sadly she's not that appreciated in my country, everyday that goes by, her price drops another cent. Next year the stores will pay us to take her away   :cry:

@Modernmonsterhigh
Congratulations on your new dollies!
The 3 are simply amazing. Great photoshoot

@Scarlet
Meeshell is lovely! Evie is really good explorer  :P

Anyone here knows the owner of MHmerch? They haven't updated... The family section is missing Alivia and Howleen.

Here's a thread from the owner

Hope you can celebrate properly on the weekend :)

@Neon_jellyfish
I love your Abbey pictures. I've always liked Abbey as a character as she is both strong, feminine and very straightforward. And everything translated perfect to her doll.

@Nina
Cute picture of Wydowna! I was so happy with her release. I felt Mattel was taking a great risk daring to create such an exquisite creature within their dolls line but it was so worth it!
I love that in your picture her facial features are clear and very distinguishable. It's hard to achieve that on monochromatic dolls <3

But to get back on topic, I hate seeing we’re getting ugly low quality dolls now compared to back when when we were getting amazingly gorgeous and detailed dolls. I mean, some dolls even had rings! Rings! They had articulation, ACTUAL clothing, and even pets/diaries! Now we’re getting dolls with half molded clothing, horrible articulation ( if any LOL ).

I think that's the main reason we now sound like a bunch of crybabies.
We were spoil rotten with so many good features and quality that we think we deserve a good product.

I don't think any of us sounds like crybabies for expecting good quality. I mean, we do deserve a good product, I don't think any of us would have started collecting Monster High dolls if they were ugly and low-quality in the beginning, but what Mattel did was grab our attention with wonderful dolls and now that we're hooked up, we're getting scraps of plastic pretending to be our beloved characters. Some lines are still pretty (Shriekwrecked is adorable for example), but just put the "Sleepover" line next to the "Dead Tired" one and the difference in quality is obvious.

Just to be clear, I do think I sound like a cry baby :( Mattel showed me the heaven and then took it away and broke me -insert hours of more fake drama-

but by no means did I intended to say that any of you sound like me ^^U
Sorry if that was not clear

I go Walmart in different areas and even Targets and it's depressing.  All I see are budget dolls and maybe Emoji dolls.  I don't even see Monster High minis anymore.

I like the idea that people can catch up with their collections now but the problem with that is people online like to charge for dolls way more than their worth because they're not sold in stores anymore so they're worth tons of money.

I'm still trying to get a signature Abbey (doesn't matter to me if her boots are showing or not) but the cheapest amazon sellers have her for is $89.  I won't pay that much.

Try the MH Arena sale threads, Facebook groups, garage sales and flea markets.
There are still some appearing on Ebay at decent prices every now and then, but yeah, a lot of dolls are getting expensive by the minute

@Akirafay
Not saying it was or wasn't a coincidence, but have you watched Scooby-Doo and the Ghoul School? Ever seen the Munsters or the Adams Family?
Seriously, a monster school was just not an original idea even in the 90s.

For me it would be:
Signature
Music Festival
Zombie Shake
I <3 F
And for some reason I would also add her Fierce Rocker.

Her most elegant doll for me would be Coffin Bean
Ghoul's Night Out was cute too.. not punk, but cute

Did Aaron trademarked any of his art? Was the comic publish or was it a webcomic?

I mean, the ideas in general as someone already said, were inspired on stuff that was inspired on stuff that was inspired on literature that was inspired on legends and so..
I remember fondly the Ghoul School and the Frankenstones from hannah-barbera. There were also the Gruesomes, although I remember very little about those.
I think Aaron's designs are pretty cool, and I've yet to read his comic. I don't know if Mattel stole his idea or anyone else's, but it's not an entirely new concept at all. Wish Aaron bests of luck with his projects though :)

I like your second one more than the first one, but mostly for the color pallet as blue is one of my favorite colors. But both are adorable works!
