Clawdeen's Closet / Re: Help! Stained Cross stitch material!
« on: Today at 01:09:36 PM »
I've never had to remove beer stains, so I don't know exactly how helpful this might be, but I found this page with a few different ways of cleaning different things with beer stains.

For certain reasons, I have wound up with duplicates.  A beloved doll at a low price, or finding one sitting there in a discount store that looks better than my original, or I just love the doll.  Some, of course, you wind up with multiples if you buy lots, and trying to get some dolls up for a trade, I wound up with a lot of doubles and even triples.

My Invisi Billy, they were a unique situation.  I did not think I'd ever see one in stores, our Walmart kept restocking wave 1 of New Scaremester.  I bought one online, fingers crossed he'd get here safely, and he did for the most box, his box is a little loose.  While Christmas shopping, my sister found one on the far, far back end of a shelf, the only one we ever saw in stores, so he had to come home.

Found a decently priced Tyrant, so he's a belated birthday gift to myself. ^^

I've been seeing a lot of articles about it on Yahoo, with a few saying Hasbro has put in an offer, though I don't know how true it is.  I don't know where it started, but it started to show up heavily on the home page this weekend.

Huh, I didn't really think of how things would be effected except MH, and I figured they'd try to rebrand it as what it once was.  I didn't think of EAH, but it would probably never see the light of day again since they have the Disney license.

If they kept the DC contract, not sure how that inner working would, well, work, they could either mash DC/Marvel Super Hero Girls, or keep the two lines separate, one Marvel line, one DC line.

But all hypthetical speaking, of course.

I'd guess since the swap was cancelled, this was, too.

Monster Discussion / Re: Do you think that Mh is over with?
« on: November 09, 2017, 09:50:16 AM »
I wouldn't say anything that is still coming out with the occasional release is over with.  Laying there twitching on life support?  Yeah.  Shelf space is getting smaller and smaller, lines are getting smaller and smaller, and more budgety, and the gimmicks are getting really tired out.  No one rushes out to buy these releases they turn out.  I haven't seen anything fly off the shelves in a while, though I truly expect to have nothing left after the spring reset in our Walmart.  We just have minis, the cheerleader/emoji budgets, and family pack Lagoona.

But, something is happening to keep them coming up with sets.  We know there are a few releases left to do, and they surprised us with Ghoul to Bat 2.0 and Ghoul to Wolf.  I think no one knew those were coming.  There might be even more we don't know of down the road.

And I do feel that, down the road if the series ever gets fully axed, Monster High could make a good comeback.  As long as it is done at the right time with the same spark that originally caught people's eye.

Monster Discussion / Re: MH-Merch Search by Character (New order?)
« on: November 08, 2017, 07:01:14 AM »
I always saw the core group of Gen 1 being Frankie, Draculaura, Clawdeen, Lagoona, Cleo, and Ghoulia.  I know Lagoona and Ghoulia especially tended to drift away, especially near the end, there, but since the original focus was on those six, and Deuce as the "core male" though to simplify he'd of course go into Mansters, that was the core six for me.

I like the Core Ghouls, Ghouls, Mansters idea.  I would still maybe do Movie Only characters, though.  I just feel there's so many other characters that another branch of Ghouls might not hurt.

Bought two more Fire Emblem keychains I didn't have yet.

Ghoul to Bat Drac 2.0 is actually rather pretty.  I might get her if I come across a good one.  Ghoul to Wolf Clawdeen feels like a weird Magical Girl.

My sister bought two lots of Fire Emblem cipher cards, mainly for the boxes, $40 for two lots of over 100 cards each.
