I know the 13W Twyla has glow in the dark eyes but how about other Twylas. Do they share the feature aswell?

All of my Twyla's eyes glow, except for Haunted. (I don't have the vinyl or FdC.)
I actually thought it was all of them too, but someone brought it up in another thread and I decided to test it, and that's what I got!

I bought Coffin Bean Twyla just yesterday and checked if her eyes glow, and they do! It's such a cool little feature, I couldn't believe it doesn't even say so in the box or something. She's so cute, I'm in love with her.  :twyla:

I didn't realize they glowed originally either. I had my dolls in a display case and I just turned off the lights, and I saw these little spots of light. I started looking all over the room trying to figure out what was reflecting off the glass case.  Finally I got up close and realized it was the dolls eyes glowing (after like five minutes of searching).   ^^;

Omg that would freak me out so much! The first day I got Twyla I spent hours looking up reviews and stuff, so I was prepared for the little glowing eyes watching me all night lmao.

The haunted Twyla does have glowing eyes (or at least mine does)

Oh my goodness.  That would freak me out, too! LOL
I think Twyla would have to sleep in the closet that night. :P

I think it's a shame that it's not mentioned in any other packaging than her sig. Especially since they've kept the gimmick.

Likewise; my CB and sig Twylas don't glow. I just picked up the Haunted doll, so we'll see if I'm 0 for 3 later. Still haven't picked up her NS doll.

Apparently you have to hold her under a light for the glow in the dark feature to "charge" so it'll work once the lights are off... At least that's what I've heard.

Figured as such and tried as much. *flashback to childhood and "firing up" my Glo-Friends collection* Sadly no luck on that front yet, BUT! I've since come into the possession of a ludicrously bright penlight. Could be worth a try. I might only be able to charge one of her eyes at a time, but that should be enough to determine once and for all if I need to just buckle down and take some GITD paint to her.

UPDATE: SUCCESS WITH PENLIGHT. :D Shone it directly at one of each of my Twylas' eyes for just a few seconds and they glowed like fireflies--and it's not even dark in here.

Wish I could activate it with more ambient light, but this is certainly better than nothing!

The glow isn't that bright to begin with. The area of her whites is the GITD part

When I unboxed her a little sheet fell out that told me how to use the glow.
My friend and I were surprised.
Esp bc my friend HAD a Twyla and never knew.

You can charge her eyes quickly under a UV (black) light. They also "discharge" quickly that way too.

I wonder if in later years we see Twyla dolls with discoloration because we've all subjected them to this light torture.
