Differences between First issue DotD and reissue dolls?

Does anyone know the difference(s) in these dolls? I've noticed a couple of things that look different, but some seem like texture differences or even fabric changes. Does anyone have comparison pics and their opinion? Thanks all!!

Here are the differences I was able to notice:

• Re-release Lagoona has darker face-up.
• Re-release Lagoona has darker blue in her hair.
• Re-release Lagoona's leg fins are a different shade of blue.
• Both Lagoonas' bodies are dated and stamped "2008" and "Made in Indonesia".

I know that the leg fin color with Lagoona is a sign that she was made in Indonesia vs. China, but unfortunately I don't have the re-release box anymore to double check her actual country of origin. With the color differences, though, it seems likely the original and the re-release weren't manufactured in the same country.

Only thing I know of is the first release dotd had weird elastic holding the legs together , where the re-release uses actual pegs.

So there's really no way of telling from just a simple photograph? That seems so weird to me! I'll have to make sure that I ask if it's elastic holding the hips or not....if anyone else has comparisons and can take snaps or give descriptions, that would be great! I can't wait to check my 2 Lagoons when I get home from Christmas

I know that Frankie's shoe colors are flipped in the reissue (the original had the black shoe on her left foot and the silver on the right). If you had both, the reissue and original, you could make a solid set of silver or black shoes.

OMG this is one of the things I hate most about Frankie shoes in general and I actually DO have shoes from the original release + the new DOTD Frankie, but I hadn't even realized the shoes were flipped. Thank you Mandy!

I didn't even know she had a handbag :0 Too bad it wasn't included in the rerelease. It's so cute!
