Holiday swap?
« on: November 02, 2017, 03:35:54 PM »
I really wanted to do the swap this year, but I think I missed the cancelled thread before I asked my question about amount of participants. So I was wondering if anyone wanted to do a private swap? I absolutely love doing the holiday swaps!! I've done a private Birthday swap before, and even though it wasn't a surprise who it was from, it was still so much fun.

That sounds fun! Same here. I wanted to join but my mother is literally forcing me to not spend my money until Black Friday and I hate it . Well I guess I do buy too many dolls LOL if you're okay on waiting about 20 days to do the swap feel free to do it with me. Also.. I'm not entirely sure how swaps work. Could you give me a rundown please?

I was really disappointed that the swap was cancelled ( a little prematurely too imho)...I'd be interested in swapping too if you want more than one partner...

Wow, I didn't even see it was cancelled until now.  I was looking forward to it.

Night breaks through the day, hard as a stone

I'm interested. I've always wanted to be part of a swap.

I was bummed when the swap was cancelled, too. I was waiting to sign up when I knew for sure I could commit to it, but the day I started to fill out my application, I saw it had been cancelled.  :(

I hope any of you that go ahead with private swaps have a great time!  :)

I would have loved to participate in the holiday swap, but was unable to attend this year.
I am now taking commisions for Custom dolls, ponies, handmade ponywear and doll clothes, and handmade pet hooded coats!

I'm sad to see the swap canceled. I love to follow the progress and the end results each year. I can't participate because the regular mail in my country sucks and customs require extra documentation sometimes or else the packages get stuck (without any notice by the way), which means that only packages using higher courier prices actually arrive.

I don't mind sending them with additional protection if it means it will arrive, but I know that for other members to send something to me would have to adjust the price range of the goodies to be able to count in the international shipping price or try the regular mail which has 50% of chances of getting lost.

My other option is having everything send to my parents and have them mail me the swap package afterwards but they might be moving soon, and since they have no exact date for that I rather not risk it.
