My First Tonner Doll - Maudlynne Macabre
« on: September 17, 2017, 02:29:00 AM »
So I got my Maudlynne doll in the mail the other day. I was gonna post a brag yesterday, but I had trouble uploading images to Tumblr. Here she is!

Does she remind you of Violet Baudelaire from Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events?

Now, normally I don't particularly care for dolls that look like children, but considering how stylised & unrealistic she is, and because I had been eyeing her for a long time, I decided to get her. Unfortunately, she has some stains on her left arm, both upper arms, and ankles. I am glad that the site did warn about stains, so I could anticipate it & not be too disappointed. My only other complaint is the price of shipping, which cost more than the doll itself. It'd be nice if the Tonner website offered different options for (cheaper) international shipping.

A height comparison with MH's Gooliope Jellington & Moxie Teenz Melrose.

All the pics I took of her, here;

She looks nice! Reminds me of coralline if she had long hair. I too don't like dolls that look like children ( especially babies and the reboot of mh ) but I do love howleen for some reason even if she looks a little childish it actually looks cute cx

Tonner's my favorite doll maker and I've always though Maudlynne was a cutie :) Congrats!
(Although I'm quite sad that they've done away with Wilde Imagination, and so no more Ellowyne Wilde ;___; )

Thanks, Claire. It seems it happens a lot with Tonner doll lines getting cancelled.
