Shoezies 'finger shoes' as doll footwear?
« on: September 15, 2017, 09:49:36 PM »
Does anyone have experience with or info about using Shoezies collectible 'finger shoes' (by Hasbro I think) as doll footwear? If yes, who will they fit?

I bought a small lot of them on ebay, I've seen some references to them possibly fitting 1:6 scale action figures, so thought some might fit MH. Or, they'd look good in a shoestore display, lol. Thanks!

Oh my god, I haven't heard anyone mention these in like 10 years.

They're too big for Pullip Type 1/2 feet, but with like, socks, etc you can make some of them work.  Since Pullip feet are about the same size as MH feet, the same is probably true.  You might have better luck with 16" fashion dolls like fashion royalty or tonner dolls.

What about the big sister ghouls like Clawdia, Nefera, etc.?  I wonder if they'd fit those?

DogMom, if you have any reg. and big sister dolls, try them and let us know! :)

Thanks DGRequiem! I'd never heard of them, but couldn't pass up the lot - a 1:6-ish scale shoe store display and a dozen shoes for $22 (shipping included). I figured they'd be shoe store display if nothing else, lol.

Also - with different styles, I'll probably have different luck - socks or tights would work with the boots or Mary Janes, maybe not so much with sexy slides, lol. Although, it could be a new style! Ha!

I will! I have little sister, regular, and big sister sizes, plus the 17" FT size. I don't have any Pullip or Blythe, but I do have Barbies in varying feet shapes and sizes (including Cali feet!), plus one Ellowyne Wilde and one Evangeline Ghastly. So will report back in this thread after they arrive. AND, I can also try the Mansters, just for fun….maybe they'll fit the sexy slides….

I did find some pics online where someone had used the store display rack and created a shoe store for their MH. Cleo & Deuce on the sofa with shopping bags, Clawdeen as the shoe sales person, Catrine trying on some awesome (non-shoezies) boots. Display rack in background with a mix of Shoezies and MH shoes on the rack.

Can't wait!

I'd actually really like to know how they turn out, and if any of them fit. I've done a few searches to see if anyone has tried them, but can only find a few posts about dolls I'm not familiar with.

There are a few rather large lots on ebay for a decent price and if they work, I'd love to grab some.
Worst case I was thinking of attempting to modify a few of my girls' feet....

I decided to go ahead and bid on an almost complete Disney Shoezies lot (it's just missing Cinderella's shoes) and won for the minimum bid, so I'll be trying them on all my dolls. I'm hoping they'll work ok on Obitsu feet. But I figure even if they don't fit any of my dolls well enough, they're cute enough to just display on their own.

Ooh, how exciting! I'd like to see pictures of these on doll feet once you receive them.

How exciting ShortyBoo!

I can't wait to see pics of how they look.

I wonder if they would fit Clawdia or Gooliope?

I got them today and they're too small to fit 17" MH and too skinny to fit the toes of normal MH. They're a really weird scale. Most of the eBay listings claimed they were 1/6 scale, but they're definitely too big to be 1/6 scale. If I put them on Pullip, Barbie or Obitsu feet, it looks like a little girl walking around in their mom's shoes. The other problem I have with them is all of them are pumps and on most of them there's no space in the toe of the shoe. It's kind of like how if you go to try on a shoe and forget to take the balled up tissue paper out of the shoe before putting your foot in it. So I'm kind of sad I can't use them for dolls, but they're still really cute designs and they're Disney themed, so I'll keep at least three of the five pairs. I'm thinking of selling the Aurora and Snow White shoes.

That's too bad!  But look at it this way, they were made for the fingers of little girls.  Maybe you can display them and they'll look cute with your other Disney items. :)

Whoops! I forgot about this thread, sorry!

Yes, most of these don't work for dolls/MH for all the reasons mentioned. One pair of boots fits Twyla/Howleen, but the open shoes are problematic. Scale/sizing is all over the place. The shoe display rack is cute, but it's not sturdy and pieces keep falling off/apart...I'm considering glueing it permanently together.

My view...if you get a good deal, they're good 'backgrounder' shoes for display props. But don't get them thinking they'll work as actual shoes.
