The Legend of Shadow High Book
« on: September 13, 2017, 06:14:40 PM »

In case someone has forgotten about this book it's a combination of Ever After High and Monster High.  This book comes out next month and I have mixed thoughts about it.  I like that Shannon Hale is doing another book related to Ever After High and of course Monster High but I'm not sure how I feel about the idea of them combining both worlds.  I know The Lost Movie was supposed to have the same concept of combining both worlds but obviously that movie won't ever come out.  I wish they had made the movie before doing G2 Monster High.  Anyway, do you guys think this book is what The Lost Movie was supposed to be since we didn't get it?

This book is out now has anyone read it?  I've read some reviews on amazon and some people liked it.

I'm partway through it.  It is not the same plot as the Lost Movie.  It is a sequel to the EAH book series, though and I'm finding it very enjoyable even if it is the reboot MH cast.

At the very least, one pre-reboot MH teacher does make an appearance.
I make the dolls Mattel won't.

I'm interested if some of my favorite EAH characters are back, but it kind of doesn't seem like it.

I flipped through it- the ending's pretty "meta", which is odd and clever in a way, but comes off a bit juvenile as well. But it's kinda neat seeing the characters interact, even if it's mainly the Big Two from each universe (Apple, Raven, Draculaura & Frankie). Seeing Hale's "Snotty Apple" again is a bit entertaining- it's like she KNEW Apple's character was inherently unsympathetic and decided to run with it.
