Who to work on next? Assign them each a number, put duplicate numbers into an opaque glass, pick a number! Let Chance decide!

@Konzern: The Tamiya gloss is AMAZING, just paints right on. I did two layers for Lagoona, I think that's probably a good amount

Current ghouls in progress. Even with acetone, Clawdeen was a pain to wipe (so much glitter!). Elle was out drying and a gust of wind knocked her down and put a little scrape above her eyebrow :c. I'm hoping it scraped the sealant and not the vinyl, but I should be able to minimize the appearance of any damage.
I'm not sure if I'm going to keep their hair, it definitely looks better than when I first got them, but not as nice as I'd hope. I do need the wig practice though! Gotta figure out how to make caps for dolls with odd ears…

So what are you using as a sealant/gloss? Is it brush on or spray on?

So what are you using as a sealant/gloss? Is it brush on or spray on?
Sealant is the matte Mr. Super Clear spray, I use that as a base (three coats before starting the repaint work), and a spray between pencil layers. MSC comes in a gloss variant as well, but I wouldn't recommend it for faceups. If you do anything with bodies (like adding tattoos), the gloss might work better as a sealant there; I haven't tried it myself though.
The gloss is Tamiya Acrylic Gloss, which is painted on.

THANK YOU!!!!!
Of course!
I think I saw you in a respiratory protection area on here, but if you use MSC or any spray, make sure you get a proper mask and filters! I don't believe one is needed for any of the brush-on sealants, but definitely look into it; safety is priority!

Forgot to mention, I get the UV Cut of MSC, so the dolls won't yellow from sun exposure

Which is why I was going to try the Liquitex…haven't yet bought a respirator, weather's been too cold.  But Chicago weather is starting to get pleasant, so that might happen before I sort out which Liquitex to get, lol. I got a Home Depot gift card for Xmas, so that's earmarked for a respirator/filters. Thank you for the filter heads up, appreciate it!

I don't know how well the Liquitex works, but I believe a similar product is being used in this video with not that great results

Maybe Liquitex's formula is better than this though

Also Andreja (NicollesDreams on YT) has a video about spraying in humid/cold environments by using a toaster oven at like 90-100F for a while, it's worth looking up!

Simply is right on the money.  I'm replying now to your Liquitex question thread, but Liquitex varnish cannot be applied over watercolor pencils or pastels unless you water it down and airbrush it on.  I'll elaborate a little more in the other discussion so that I don't hijack Simply's thread. ^^;

Elle's done!

The eyes looked much better in my head (plus I kinda ruined them by getting the pencils wet), but I love the PearlEx in her face lines. Not sure if I like the false lashes, will have to cut them from the trios if I keep using them.
Haven't decided what to do for Rochelle, but I'm wanting to do a pastel goth look for Clawdeen. Unfortunately my pastels are garbage and won't stick well (Reeves brand from Michael's) so I ordered some Faber-Castells, which should be arriving next week.

Breathtaking! I DO like the lashes! And I love the dark smoky lip. Thanks for the closeup on her eyes, very striking. Please be sure to post a pic of her rebodied!

Much appreciation to SaelaVe for reopening this ♥

As part of my New Years Resolution, which was to do more things that made me happy, I wanted to focus more time on customs, which have had to take a backseat due to the current state I'm in. Depression and motivation to be creative do not mix. However, I got a bunch of repaint materials for Christmas which gave me a little boost of inspiration, set aside some time, rewatched all of Mozekyto's wig videos on YouTube, and came up with a lovely wig for my Elle!

First picture is before I trimmed it down a bit. For the first wig I've ever made, I'm extremely happy with it, though I do see areas I can improve on.

I would like to put her up for sale at some point, just have to figure out how to use Etsy.

Coming up next! These lovely ladies who have been waiting far too long for a finished face. Hopefully it won't be too cold and rainy so I can properly seal everything.

A huge thank you to those of you who supported me last year, it really means a lot!

Thanks so much SaelaVe! ♥

I got around to getting some nicer photos and listing her on Etsy!
It would be really cool if she actually sold, but I'm trying to be realistic about it and not get too excited.
