Gauging doll ears
« on: March 05, 2017, 02:27:04 AM »
Mostly inspired by this lovely doll
I'm interested in adding piercings to my future customs, and though I've read up on how to do standard piercings in the face, adding gauges or plugs seems a little trickier. Has anyone here attempted this before and if so what did you use to add more "skin" to the ears? Ideally I'd like to get a pretty seamless look for any doll I try this on, and considering the variation in skin tones, I'd also be looking for tips on color matching.

Additionally, I feel like I've seen dolls with sternum piercings, I'd assume that's done with the same method as any facial piercings? I know the plastic is different so I just want to ensure the process is the same. Thanks in advance!

I've never tried anything like that but these links might help you! The first one is very relevant and the second one isn't the exact thing but has some good tips.

Oooh very nice! I like that they found a way to make them removeable. Thank you!
