Great find! These sound good, and I'm really intrigued by the 15' (?) tree girl character! "Monster High garden ghoul really grows on you -- the tree girl doll becomes a play set as you spread out her branches and open her trunk"...

Dang, that does sound cool! I hope she's cute. <3

Interesting. I'm guessing it's a grasshopper for Jada? Another bee sounds interesting, I wonder how they'll make her different, and a fire nymph is intriguing. I feel resigned by the knowledge that these are probably pixie-style dolls, but if the designs are good, I probably won't care.

According to the descriptions Jada is a dragonfly and Fyra is a firefly

Ah, that makes sense. My first guess for Jada was a dragonfly, actually. Maybe it was the association with green?

From just the text, this is reading as "the ghouls are fairies now!" as the theme, which I'm wary of.  It really feels like the reboot is pushing the line into 'safer' territory where the creepy/spooky vibe is being minimalized in favor of the same marketing metrics that were deemed 'safe' enough for the Barbie line.  It doesn't feel MONSTER HIGH to me.  I'm hoping when we see images that it changes my mind.
I make the dolls Mattel won't.

Damn Mattel. The reboot's barely a year old and already you're going back to the 'Ghouls turn into other creatures thanks to magic/science/boogey sand' plot?

I'm not complaining though, because this sounds like a really good concept. Using a bug motif is a great way to borrow Barbie's 'fairy' theme while keeping it creepy. I wonder why Toralei's in the line though. Cleo and Twyla make sense, there are insects related to their various mythologies, but what do bugs have to do with cats?

I surprised Venus hasn't been listed, but if Garden of Frights is the next movie line after Electrified, I imagine she'll be a deluxe doll for the line.

I'm hoping that Mattel take the opportunity to bring Wydowna, Bonita and Luna out of retirement. Even if they're not in the movie, more bug ghouls in the line would be awesome.

I don't think Venus is in this line (Mattel's "casting" frequently lacks logic), but that's probably because she's in the Party Ghouls and Electrified lines.

This seems a bit too small to be a movie line. 3 budget level dolls, a playset and some pixie equivalents aren't much. If we get word of some deluxe dolls I imagine this'll be along the lines of FdC and SW.

I really am hoping for Bonita though. It's super unlikely but she's perfect and they gave Avea of all people a mini so just shrink her wings and put her in.

This would be such a good opportunity to bring SOME bug character back.
I hope they take the opportunity.

gosh I hope these will be good and not mini dress hell as I love garden/bug themes! and I'm REAALLY hoping Cleo will be given a scarab beetle type of look somehow

that wood nymph play set sounds interesting, though it doesn't specify the size much unless I'm not seeing it lol

If she has a look featuring a chrome teal beetle with massive spread gold or silver wings I would just die.

I may or may not have King Tut's taste reincarnated

Yeah, it's definitely not a movie tie-in, but the Intergalactic Gala is shaping up to be the yearly specialty line like FdC, Gloom and Boom, and Shriekwrecked, etc. So this seems like another subline akin to Party Ghouls that will introduce a pixie-style doll type and also have a playset- it's definitely not following any of the standard patterns.

I hope it gets a stint in the webisodes.

Then again I hope the webisode animation gets improved.

Also I wonder how much that girl to playset thing will cost - if it's anything like Briar's Thronecoming book, I'll probably love it.

I love the concept, but I'm afraid to see what they'll do to Toralei.  Hope she won't get the bug-eyed child face.

I'm calling it now; "tree girl" is the daughter of Groot in everything but name.

Also... the firefly girl? How does that work? I mean... Does her butt light up?

In a perfect world, it would... but I doubt they include electronics in this line.
