Has anyone rebodied Daring yet?
« on: August 05, 2016, 03:46:34 PM »
I know he doesn't really have a body match but has anyone rebodied him? I bought him and Rosabella from TRU and I really wanna do something. The no bendy knees is going to drive me nuts. Any help would be great. A tutorial with pictures or a video would be very helpful.

Thanks to anyone who helps.

I haven't found him yet, but when I do I'll see what his legs look like, and if they can be popped off like the EW girls.  Not sure what skintone matches his, so if someone can tell me who matches him let me know.

I haven't seen him in the wild yet either. But my mom bought me a TRU gift card. So I bought them off of TRU website.

I think Alistair might be kinda close. So I've got him on the way too. So hopefully I can find dexrer's pants soon.

Are his shoes removable? If not I guess I'll have to find him some sneakers as well.

DEStokes has thoughtfully provided us with comparison photos in this post:

I didn't realize that his head would pop right off like the girls do. I guess I'm use to those old ken dolls that had that super hard head that didn't come off.

Well now I have another question.  Is Daring a skintone match for Deuce or Jackson (reboot or otherwise)?  I may end up having to just put his head on an MH body, even tho I don't want to.

I don't own them anymore so I don't know. But I would love to know that as well.

I got my Daring&Rosabella 2-Pack yesterday and took a comparison picture for you and all the others who want to know if Deuce or Jackson are a skintone match for Daring...

Jackson is too pale and Deuce's skintone is too reddish, so they both do not match Darings skintone. If you wonder which versions I have: Jackson is the original release and Deuce is from the ToysRus two-pack with Gil.

I will use Dexter's body, because so my Daring will have an EAH-body, the skintone is only slightly different and I got Dexter for a good price - Alastair would be too expensive, because he was not released yet in Germany and I had to get mine from Amazon.com.

I saw someone on Tumblr who suggested doing a leg transplant with Alistair rather than a full rebody. They just soaked his body in hot water, popped the legs out, and put new ones in.

I saw that too; it's a great idea as you could still use the top part of the bait doll as a centaur or merman or something.

It also helps with the color match problem.  I have a spare Hunter body with no head that I can steal the legs from; Daring will have tanned legs lol
Where oh where has my Ghoulia gone? Oh where oh where could she be? (Seriously Mattel, where is she??!!)

And thus Daring starts the hot new trend of denim underpants!

:haha: That is the best thing I've heard today!! Thank you I really needed a good laugh.

I just put my daring on a Alistair body. It's not perfect but it doesn't bother me as much as the no bendy legs.
