Monster High Minis Discussion
« on: February 16, 2016, 11:09:44 PM »
So since we have threads on the MH vinyls and most characters/their dolls now, I figured why not start one for the brand new MH minifigs revealed at the Toy Fair?

Personally I like them, but they seem almost like a cheap cop-out like MLP did with their blindbags, use them to make new characters and keep the brushables mostly to a core character limit.
Hopefully that's not what these become, cause I think they're really cute and make adorable dolls for the dolls. I NEED that transparent Twyla, she'll be the one I lust after the most. She's my favourite color and I love transparent things, and Twyla.

What are your thoughts and feelings?
And photos would be great, either now or in the future when they come out!

I'll be buying them. Probably without worrying about copies, just selling the extras for cost or something in my thread. I don't want them all, but I want a lot of them from pics. Possible that seeing the actual product will change my mind....

Shopkins.

MH Shopkins.

I can't shake off the idea that that is EXACTLY what they are. Down to the eyeshape and style.

I'd get the Abbeys cheap for my collection but they are going to look so out of place, I might change my mind.

I think they're extremely cute and will be trying to collect them all, especially the Catrine and Twyla ones. Also at $2.99 a pop my boyfriend won't be able to resist allowing me to get a few whenever we're out.  :P

Is that their confirmed price? That's great! That's what I was hoping actually, that's not bad at all.
I know I'll be hopelessly addicted now. So long, dreams of only having like five of them...

I believe that's how much they'll cost. I either read it or heard it in a toy fair video but I can't for the life of me remember the source. ^^;

The price was shown back in the survey leaks discussion. Not sure if it was confirmed at Toy Fair, but it's about right for a blind bag, I think.

When it comes to toys, I usually don't go for anything without real hair (as in some fiber, not plastic. I don't mean human hair!), but these are cute and I'll try to get some so my dolls have their own dolls.

I may get one if they end up super cheap. The only reason I kind of want one is that my dolls can have a doll.

Yeah I thought the Mega Bloks ones were minifigs. These are blind bags.

I figured the others were just called Megabloks figures, and these were called minifigs.

Aren't these just "minis"? And tge megablocks have a thread already anyway.

I like them and will probably be on the lookout for Skelita, Robecca, Lagoona and Deuce.... and maybe the ragdolls... and the candy ones...

My only complain is that ifvthe drawings on the checklist are accurate, then some characters are sharing a mold(Lagoona and Robecca... ironic that those are the ones I want....)

I'll get the Rochelle ones. She'll be easy to find because of her wings and distinctive ear shape. I'm a pro at that method of blind bag searching from collecting Lego Minifigures.

I dont have space or money for mh anymore. So I'm beyond ecstatic to start collecting these store able, adorable, easily displayed, played with, and °°affordable°° mini figs. Plus, who doesn't love the excitement of a blind bag?! Copies? You mean custom bait!

Yeah I know. "Minifigs" is what Lego figures are called so I assumed this was a thread about Lego minifigs, not the new blind bag minis.

Anyways, I'll probably use my $5 Bing TRU cards to pick some up. After seeing the whole lineup (at least the whole lineup we were given) there's some I really like. I hope the bags have codes or holes because I only want specific ones.

I love the minifigs. I think they are adorable... the way they're posed makes them look like little ragdolls. The Cleos are my favourites, and she should be easy to pick out with her headband :)

I adore them, but I'm also very fond of blind bags in general. I'll buy them with the intent to collect Twyla, but I'll probably keep any I like, and sell the ones I don't along with dupes. Depending on the scale, the rag doll ones might make a cute accessory for doll photography.
