What fits Monster High dolls?
« on: January 09, 2016, 12:30:50 PM »
This thread is a reorganization of the thread originally put together by Aery. As the original thread has gotten a bit hard to maintain, I have decided to start a new one with a bit more segmentation.

First off, a general statement about size and fit of Monster High dolls. Our "What fits Monster High dolls" currently covers 5 categories: Regular Monster High dolls, "Little Sisters" (including Howleen, Twyla, River, Mouscedes, and Kjersti), "Big Sisters" (including Nefera, Clawdia, Casta, Headless Headmistress Bloodgood), 17" dolls, and Boy Dolls.

There are some dolls such as Kala Mer'ri and Manny Taur who have unique body shapes/sizes. If you have suggestions for clothing to fit these dolls, please PM me (Melissa).

The old thread is available here: http://mharena.com/index.php/topic,1149.msg29917.html

Regular Monster High dolls
« Reply #1 on: January 09, 2016, 12:31:41 PM »
Regular Monster High dolls (such as Frankie, Draculaura, Clawdeen, Cleo, etc.) share the same foot mold as all Ever After High dolls.

Clothing that fits regular MH girls:
-80's-90's Stacie's(+Twin Todd) clothes fit okay, all pants are low rise on MH and the tops are mostly too short unless it's an oversize tee and then it's the right length
-Azone: Pure Neemo XS fashions
-Baby Alive Crib Life clothing
-Barbie's little sister Kelly shirts/dresses (work as tops for MH, Kelly shirts are very short)
-Beatrix Girls
-BFC Ink clothes (tops fit, but slightly baggy)
-Blythe clothing (loose - fit w/ cinching/modification)
-Bratz clothing (tops may be a bit loose/short, pants may be too short in leg and crotch)
-Bratz 2015 clothing (fit Little Sisters best but some pieces may fit regular-sized MH)
-Bratzillaz clothing (loose, short in torso)
-Cutie Pops clothing
-Dal clothing (loose)
-Disney fairies doll clothing (may be a little tight)
-Disney VIP doll clothing (loose)
-EAH doll clothing (will fit somewhat loosely)
-EAH Forest Pixies clothing will be short but generally fits
-Equestria Girls doll clothing
-Juku Couture doll clothing
-LaDeeDa clothing (only outfits w/ skirts work w/o modification - LDD hips/legs are much smaller than MH)
-Licca clothing
-Midnight Magic (MH knockoff) clothing (a bit loose)
-Moxie girls clothing (a bit too loose but fit w/ cinching/modification - shoes do not fit)
-Mystixx Vampire doll clothing
-Only Hearts Club clothing
-Pinkie Cooper doll clothing
-Sparkle Girlz clothing
-Teen Skipper/Generation Girl clothing (loose - fit w/ velcro overlap)
-Winx Club clothing (skirts fit, tops too loose)

Shoes that fit regular MH girls:
-1/16 Blythe doll shoes (not all of them will work; they are created for dolls with flat feet whereas MH dolls have high-heel feet.)
-Bratzillaz shoes
-Disney VIP shoes are tight, but some may work
-Equestria Girls shoes (not the ones for peg feet, obviously), fit may be awkward
-Ever After High shoes
-Harumika shoes (too big, but if they're not sandals or peep-toes, you might get away with it)
-Hasbro's Disney doll shoes
-Hi Glamm doll shoes
-Moxie Teenz shoes (fit loosely)
-Mystixx Vampire doll shoes
-Spice Girl doll boots
-Stardoll shoes
-Winx shoes are tight, but some may work

Wigs:
-Bratz wigs
-Liv wigs
-Moxie Teenz wigs (may be slightly loose)
-Mystixx wigs (they're oddly shaped so you'll have to make some adjustments, but they work)
-size 5/6 doll wigs

"Little Sister" dolls
« Reply #2 on: January 09, 2016, 12:31:51 PM »
Little sister dolls include Howleen, Twyla, River, Mouscedes, and Kjersti. As the name indicates, they are smaller in stature, as well as having smaller feet, chests, etc.

Clothes that fit "Little Sister" dolls:
-Barbie's little sister Kelly dresses (work as tops)
-Bratz clothing
-Cutie Pops clothing
-Disney fairies doll clothing
-EAH Forest Pixies clothing
-Equestria Girls doll clothing
-LaDeeDa clothing
-Only Hearts Club clothing
-Pinkie Cooper doll clothing

Shoes that fit "Little Sister" dolls:
-Barbie boots - can be softened and stretched to fit
-Disney VIP shoes
-Equestria Girls closed shoes
-Ever After High shoes will fit loosely but if being displayed only they can look okay.
-Liv doll heels
-Regular Monster High shoes will fit loosely but if being displayed only they can look okay.
-Winx shoes

"Big Sister" dolls
« Reply #3 on: January 09, 2016, 12:32:03 PM »
Little sister dolls include Nefera, Clawdia, Casta, and Headless Headmistress Bloodgood. As the name indicates, they are larger in stature, as well as having larger feet, chests, etc.

Clothes that fit "Big Sister" dolls:
-Barbie clothes (mostly skirts, pants & shorts)
-Bratzillaz/Bratz clothing (Bratz tops may be a bit short, pants are too short)
-Bratz 2015 clothing
-Disney VIP doll clothing
-Ever After High doll clothing
-Fairy Tale High clothes
-Liv clothing
-Midnight Magic (MH knockoff) clothes
-Moxie Girlz clothing
-Stardoll clothing (a bit big in the bust)

Shoes that fit "Big Sister" dolls:
-Bratzillaz shoes
-Ellowyne Wilde ankle boots (too big and the arch isn't at the same angle, but the extra room allows her foot to be straight up-and-down in them so that she can stand)
-Harumika shoes (open-toe work best)
-Midnight Magic (MH knockoff) boots
-Moxie Teen shoes?

Kala Mer'ri is larger in size than "Big Sister" dolls, but these suggestions may also work for her.

Boy dolls
« Reply #5 on: January 09, 2016, 12:32:33 PM »
These clothing suggestions should work for all MH boys with the exception of Manny Taur (and possibly Finnegan Wake?). Manny has a much larger torso than standard MH boys.

Clothes that fit MH boys:
-Barbie clothing
-Bratz Boyz shirts/shorts (pants are too short)
-EAH boy clothing is loose but can fit
-Ken clothing is loose but can fit
-Liv clothing

Shoes that fit MH boys
-12" action figure shoes may fit
-certain GI Joe fakie shoes made of soft rubber, very easy to put on and pull off (original GI Joe shoes are hard plastic and do not work)
-Justin Beiber shoes may fit, but can be VERY hard to get off
-Ken shoes, some seem to be too small but others work fine
-Makielab shoes should fit, MH boy shoes fit Makies perfectly)

Uniquely Sized dolls
« Reply #6 on: February 04, 2016, 04:01:44 PM »
If you have information on what fits the following dolls, or if there are any dolls with unique fit issues that are not listed here, please let me know!

Kala Mer'ri: larger than other MH dolls including big sisters

Manny Taur: much larger torso than other MH boys

Peri and Pearl: because they have two heads, they need a wider neck area; tail restricts what can be worn as well.

Sirena Von Boo: back fin makes redressing difficult; tail restricts what can be worn as well.

Skelita Calaveras:thinner due to skeleton body
-Items that fit "Little Sister" dolls tend to fit Skelita better than items that fit regular MH girls. Please see the "Little Sister" post.

Wydowna Spider: multiple arms make some outfits difficult
