Removing Non-hair Hair
« on: January 01, 2016, 04:28:36 AM »
I was wondering if anyone could show me pictures of astranova without her helmet? or deuce without his snake 'hair' or gil finless, I'm curious to see what they look like underneath, plus i was interested in customising astra once i get her.

I actually lost the pictures I took of mine once I customized her, but there is absolutely nothing there when you take the helmet off.  If you want to do anything with her without it being a big empty crater you gotta fashion a big replacement scalp for her and glue it in.

Both my Gil and Heath have their hair and fin removed, but they're currently wearing wigs...

Oh wow that sounds weird! I'm debating whether or not trying to get a wig or re-root her. How did you take the helmet off? i'm sure it's glues on pretty tight

I just tugged at it until it came off. I don't think mine had much glue to be honest.  If you do want to go the wig route you still need something to replace her scalp, otherwise the wig won't sit right as there isn't any inlay or anything like gil or deuce, once you remove her helmet you will see her hair rooting.  I actually had to take a spare mh head to carve up a scalp so that it would have the right shape.
I wish I wasn't so careless and deleted those pictures! I can't wait to see what you do with your astranova.

I'd like to see what she looked like as well.

However I have a suggestion about the wig. Why don't you use a mh wig to replace the space missing? I have a spare I am wondering if I could use that?

This person successfully removed Astranova's head and rerooted her.

Would anyone happen to have pictures of the "hair-less" doll(s) before and after hair removal?
